200: Renault Specialist / Service - Solihull, West Midlands

Sj Autos in Stourbridge aren't bad. Did my 182 belts and pulley, all good. Good price, but make sure if you want genuine Renault parts you specify it.

    Hello...200t here

Welcome. Looks good. I have been thinking of taking the centre silencer off on mine. Sounds like it's a good thing to do.

Nice thread revival! I'm still on page one! Haven't changed much tbh.

    Newboy

It was the other way around for me. 197 never had an issue. My 182 was the most unreliable and expensive car I've ever owned. I only had it 6 months. The 200t I have now will hopefully be reliable although I've found a few minor issues already.

I'm a central heating / gas engineer. I work for BG. It's pays the bills. Just.

Welcome. What do you think of the 197 in comparison to the 172 so far?

Just a thought on RS Clio's spec levels......

The lack of xenons is surprising being that they were standard on the 172 and 182, then an option on the 197, before finally being forgotten about completely on the 200 and 200t. It's an option I think would have become more popular, rather than less so. The new 200t face-lift comes with led...

Just a thought on RS Clio's spec levels......

Comparing the spec on my 182 to a normal 200t the 200 looks poorly specced. 182 had xenons, part leather and part alcantara seats, climate control, auto lights and wipers, Cruise, you could even put a cd in it! Lol!

    Dyson

I like Dyson products, I've got a handheld and an upright. I think the upright is a dc50 animal. Only a couple of complaints, one the filter clogs up too quickly. Two the handle feels a bit flimsy. But I've had it 18 months and it still does a great job.

Picked up my 200t tonight! 5th Clio!

Thanks everyone. Some of you may remember me from a few years ago when I had a 197. I was West Midlands area rep for a while. I really miss that car. Hoping the 200 will be a worth successor. Unfortunately my wife didn't get on with the 182 and after numerous issues and many £s spent I was...

Picked up my 200t tonight! 5th Clio!

Been and traded my 182 in tonight for a Flame Red Clio 200t Lux. I haven't driven it far yet, but I can't believe how quick it felt on the short run I went on. It's a Lux non cup but with leather seats. Shame it hasn't got 18" wheels, but the ride is good!

Long time member, had a 197, now in a 182.

Thanks gents. Tbh I think the mps is the best all round car I've owned. I miss it and so does my wife. She wants another. I do miss my 197, the 182 is so much different in that it feels less like a car and more like a kart. It's noisy and rattles, but feels lighter and possibly quicker, but it's...

Thanks Chris, not been on here for a while, good to see some of the old members are still knocking around. Seeing Webby trading his 200 in made me come back to have a look around. Does Jase still come on here now?

Yes, I've got a big doberman that we use the 6 estate for and it also comes in handy when doing diy. It's actually a really good car, but doesn't set my pulse racing. The 182 is a second car which gets used occasionally. I've got a track day booked for it. It's cost a fortune so far, had the...

    200: Goodbye Clio.

Good times Webby! I'm going backwards (just bought a 182) and you're going forwards, in arguably one of the best hot hatches on the market today. Hopefully we'll meet up again because you're genuinely one of the nicest blokes I've ever met.

Hi, I've been a member on 197.net for ages, I used to own a UR 197 which I loved. I traded that in for a Mazda 3 MPS a few years back. I decided to buy a house, so after 2 years of owning the mps I sold that and used it as a deposit for my house! That was 2 years ago and since then...
