    Repairable?

Looking into replacing my rear bumper as mine has fugly aftermarket parking sensors installed by the last owner and has a big scuff where my brother in law reversed into her (don't ask). Anyone know if this can be repaired? Thanks

    Spotted RB 197 - Markington, N. Yorks.

Parked up on side of road in Markington. Been driving through a lot recently and always there. Royal Blue, 2007. With big wheel spacers, aftermarket wheels, yellow calipers and F1 Williams stickers in yellow dotted around. Looks well!

    Bargain exhaust tips!

Just fitted these exhaust tips tonight, think they look really good and fit really well. Had to remove fixings and file down the threaded section inside and tapped them with a rubber mallet. Really snug fit and don't think they'll be falling off anytime soon! Only £6.49 each. Here's the link...

    Earthing points.

Sounds to me like the solenoid has failed and is shorting to earth internally. I mean, it must be connected to earth for it to recognise the issue. Will have most likely blown a fuse also as without a resistive load, far too much current will have flown through the circuit. I have problems at...

    Earthing points.

Why do you ask? Should be able to follow the cable around the engine bay, they'll all be linked together!

    Which should I choose?

A friend recommended those exact pads (1144's) to me last week but couldn't remember the name of them! Will definitely look into it. As for discs, I think I'm gonna go for the grooved HC Brembo Max ones. £99 and think they look decent, very much like grooved versions of the OEM discs. Could be...

    Which should I choose?

Yeah cheers guys! I was aware of the pins, have some ordered already! Although your link Sean is around £5 cheaper! Dammit ha! Might see if I can get a more premium pad, I just honestly can't bring myself to spend £100+ on front pads! Maybe it's worth it though? I am a sprited driver when the...

    Which should I choose?

Yeah I did read that somewhere! Personally like the look of the drilled/grooved discs, don't want to hinder performance though! May just order standard ones if paying a premium is only for aesthetics! Any recommendations on pads? I know everyone raves about the Ferodos, but a bit expensive for...

    Which should I choose?

Me again! Need new front discs and pads... bit skint at the moment but need doing soon so narrowed it down to these. Open to other options, £150 is about my limit for the pads and discs. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/302147301122 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/301697193291...

    Urgent!

Yes in hindsight I should have left the nut on. I put loads of penetrating oil on the night before and just before/during removal. I'm fairly new to working with cars, done bits on my old saxo vts years back, but to be honest, that was much easier to work on. If this makes me a cowboy, so be it...

    Help needed choosing lowering springs.

I've just put 200 cup shocks on my 197 with eibach springs this weekend. Improved it immensely, one of my shocks was bent though and were the original ones from 2008 so could have something to do with it. But feels incredible now, corners brilliantly! Ride is a little firmer but nothing too...

    Long brake travel

    Ok thanks for the advice

    Long brake travel

Thanks mate... do you know if I can just bleed from that one line/caliper or could the air have gotten elsewhere?

    Long brake travel

After finally fitting my shocks his morning, took the car out to find my brake pedal travelling much further before engaging the brakes. The only reason I can think of is I had to take the brake line to my front calliper off as I hadn't taken it round the back of the strut when replacing. So I...

    Urgent!

Ok thanks for that... it's the same Thickness (M12), 5mm shorter and definitely has less threads. I'll see if I can get a genuine renault one to replace. Do you think it will be ok for a few days?

    Urgent!

I tried it with my 18v makita impact driver (normally used for driving screws into wood) but it just rattled it and didn't even turn. Like I said, gone too far with the drilling now to even consider trying to undo it. I'm going to get some decent metal drill bits tomorrow and and hope that I...

    Urgent!

So I managed to get an Almost identical bolt from Halfords! Thanks for everyone's input! I now have another dilemma. Long story short I couldn't for the life of me get the nut holding the top mount to the strut out... started trying to drill it, destroyed 4/5 drill bits in the process and I am...
