Radio Doesn't Switch Off Until I Open The Door?

jamesgw200 I've tested this today - the mute button can be used to pick up a call, and when on a call, press it to put the call on hold. But there still doesn't seem to be a way to end the phone call. Tried pressing and holding, tried pressing twice in quick succession. Not sure if my Clio is...

Radio Doesn't Switch Off Until I Open The Door?

Have a feeling mine isn't working then as I had already tried that before. It works fine to mute the radio and unmute, but doesn't seem to work at all with phone calls. Will test again later :001_huh: ETA: haven't tried the phone yet but Clio 197 doesn't have any pickup/put down call icon on...

    high millage clio 200

    - Check if the gearbox has ever been replaced (not an issue if it hasn't as it's obviously a strong one, but good to know) - check if the clutch has ever been done (having an issue with mine now at 65K miles, having to replace - not sure how long they generally last) - Check when the cambelt was...

Radio Doesn't Switch Off Until I Open The Door?

Ok, while we're on the topic of weird Clio features, can anyone tell me how the hell you END a phone call when phone is connected over bluetooth? I press the down arrow to pick up the call, but after a over a year now I'm yet to work out how to end the call without using my phone! My brother...

Radio Doesn't Switch Off Until I Open The Door?

Now this I didn't know! And that is seriously useful! It's very annoying sometimes not being able to start the car with the boot still open. Going to give this a try later!

Radio Doesn't Switch Off Until I Open The Door?

As the rest have said, normal :) press the start/stop button once more after the engine is off and it'll kill the electrics too ETA: Probably once of the nicest/most useful features the Clio has IMO haha :p

New noise developed under the bonnet ...

Update: Had a call from mechanic this morning - £250 labour costs for the clutch change which is about what I was expecting, sort of budgeted ~£300 in my head. Booked in for 11th July.

New noise developed under the bonnet ...

Update: Nothing major to add at the moment, spoken to GF's Dad who isn't able to do the work (expected this really). Spoken to my usual mechanic today who's tied up for a bit but will fit me in, in a couple of weeks. He said the clutch wouldn't fail, but the noise may get worse. I can live...

    Tyre time

That's a fair point, was pretty much my reasoning when choosing too, roads are more often wet than dry and all year round grip was important. The price difference is quite a big one too!

    Insurance case been reopened

I thought there was a time limit in which you had to report incidents to insurance company? Anything after 2 weeks/a month and I'd be saying "what accident"...."I was never in one"? ETA: NVM sounds like it was reported, then closed and then re-opened. Not sure how that works :(

Nothing but praise for F1's although I've not tried the 3's yet. Any reason you dont want AD08's again?

    Broken Front Spring - Options

Depending on the price you paid Renault for the OEM springs, Eibach's might've been a cheaper option and they're quite a subtle drop compared to the 35-40mm of H&R's.... I seem to remember reading on the forum before front springs from Renault were about £90 each, so £180 vs an identical price...

    18mm change in offset

Would be almost the same as using 20mm spacers (which lots of people opt for) so I think it would look alright? Would probably want the car lowered if not already though otherwise it might look a bit odd

New noise developed under the bonnet ...

Gearbox oil was changed last year, probably isn't worth doing again. I'll look into the driveshaft seals though, thanks

New noise developed under the bonnet ...

It's probably worth me asking here as well - while the clutch work is being done, is there anything else that's cost effective to do while the clutch is being changed?

New noise developed under the bonnet ...

Not yet sorted, but the issue was diagnosed as the clutch rather than the belt/tensioner. I've bought a new clutch + slave kit for £190 ETA: Found your old thread and had a listen to the video. It's the same/similar ticking noise, which I believe is the dephaser pulley. But mine also has a high...

Just noise (squeal when clutch is up, stops soon as any pressure on clutch), car still driving OK. Currently sitting on 65,500 - original clutch as far as I know, no paper work to suggest it has been changed. Bought the clutch kit and slave kit from Renault Parts direct so I'll be getting the...

I really hope it's the former! Need it to hold up for at least a week ideally until I can get something sorted out. My first big bill on the Clio, not fun! :(

That's great, thanks for the recommendations. Still waiting to hear from GF's Dad if he might be able to do it (it seems he's gone on holiday for a week) but if not I'll be doing lots of phoning around. Does anyone know much about the clutch release bearing? Any ideas how many miles the clutch...
