    Brown clio 200 (staple abbots)

I think it's Flame Red isn't it? the colour? Just looks very different in different light and changes between sort of orange/brown and red

    200 Bumper/bonnet misaligned

let a few others cast their eyes over it first before doing anything drastic, but that's how it looks to me (that the left side needs lifting slightly) :)

    200 Bumper/bonnet misaligned

the gap between front bumper (the piece with Renault badge on) and the bonnet looks normal from above, but front on it's definitely not right. The right side looks fine but the left side looks like it's been pushed really low. The gap between front bumper (the piece with Renault badge on) and...

    Powerflex Torque Mount

Never seen that happen before! Will check my own next time I have a few mins spare, just in case!

First proper drive of my R27!!

Living in the west midlands I've always struggled to find roads twisty enough to challenge the Clio without approaching silly speeds. The grip just feels endless. Evo triangle was a bit of a disappointment because of this, felt like I could just stick cruise control on about 70 and steer...

    Car Stall Out!

Tested this morning, turned engine on, left to sit for 5 seconds or so, tapped throttle, revs blipped up, then down to 900, almost stalled, back up again. I attempted to blip the throttle again, but it seemed to remember to idle at 1100 after the first time :)

    Car Stall Out!

As you found, I could almost guarantee on a cold start in a morning, if I give the accelerator a real gentle prod, the revs will blip up, quite sharply/abnormally, then drop to like 900 rpm, stutter as though the car is going to stall and then go back to idle at 1100 (this is while still sitting...

    Car Stall Out!

My car does this too, always has done since I've owned it. It's stock other than a panel filter. Just a symptom of the BS cold start issues Clio's have I think :) I think sevenfourate has had some positive cold start improvement after his remap

    Something extraordinary keeps happening...MPG

Yeah I'm going to attempt to keep manually calculating it, mostly the longer trips as it's much easier to do. Intrigued to see what Cruise control @ 80 will yield.

    spare wheel vs additional set

I think generally the Renault Laguna wheels are a good choice and can be found cheaper than anything else. Pretty sure @Pav picked some up for a good price recently for the same purpose (track day wheels) Half way down this page for reference -...

    Something extraordinary keeps happening...MPG

I use the trip computer to work out the long term average (over thousands of miles) so I'm not too sure to be honest :/ it's a shame the Clio doesn't have a "current journey trip computer" as well as the one you can reset yourself

    Something extraordinary keeps happening...MPG

Been doing some longer distance runs for work the last few days and filling the tank each night when I pass the local Shell garage (V-Power) First one was Friday... started with full tank... 250 miles throughout the day (mix of some motorway (70mph cruise and some roadworks), some cross...

197 F1 Newbie after some advise please - throttle response

Always found I have to give the throttle a proper shove to get the revs to blip. As seven said, low down in the revs especially, I find you can literally prod the throttle with no response.

197 F1 Newbie after some advise please - throttle response

The temp gauge needle does seem to get moving pretty quickly - as you say a couple of mins at idle and it's already reading above cold. I find around 10-15mins of gentle driving gets it to where it needs to be

200: K-Tec Upgrades - What are the Pros and Cons?

Very nice set up to have, probably looking at 10-15 extra BHP, and providing the map is good the car should drive a lot better than stock. It's decat and ktec exhaust, so it's going to be quite loud and crackly I'd imagine. Have a look around the forum and youtube and see if you can find any...

    Shuv's Racing Blue 200...................

Love the Scorpion exhaust, sounds epic. I can never quite decide if I prefer resonated or non-res. Have a feeling non-res would be a little too aggro haha Like the ArmourAll products too their SHIELD polish/wax stuff I've used a few times. Nice and quick to apply compared to other waxes and...

    Weird clutch issue on 197

Try the fluid first, as you've said the slave is a sub frame off, box and clutch out job. Just had mine done (clutch + slave due to worn out slave), wasn't cheap even with friendly labour rates.

Best product for exterior black plastics........

In my experience all back-to-black products I've used on the exterior require re-applying every 2-3 washes, never seems to last forever, even 6 months is optimistic haha :)

    197: Little mods <£20

Only recommend doing this if you dont use the radio, or live in an area with outstanding radio signal. I swapped mine and ended up with little to no radio signal so had to swap back :( was fine around town but soon as reached motorway got nothing

    New owners, few questions.

That'll most likely be it then :) pic here for reference - http://e-nagao.sakura.ne.jp/sblo_files/e-nagao/image/switch13-thumbnail2.JPG Same button does both the speed limiter, and cruise control depending if you push the top or bottom of it. I think it's the top for cruise and bottom for...
