Yes, the airbags are the same on the VXR seat as on the Clio ones. The car only sees the airbags as a certain resistance as far as I know, so I just wired them up as normal and I had zero faults on the dash. Same goes for pretensioners, belt sensor, position sensor etc. For the Clio at least...

Ta Pav, mine only works when in reverse as it's only powered then, could easily have it constantly powered on though and then view it while driving if you wanted

Also, forgot to add. I purchased a reversing camera for the rear number plate light holder. It replaces the plastic housing and is pretty neat. I took the power from the reverse light so it triggers whenever you select the reverse gear which is pretty cool.

I'd recommend the battery definitely. Saves loads of space and weight. Yeah should be easier for you, was a bit of a squeeze still getting the header tank pipe work to fit neatly

Thanks for that, was thinking of making a heat shield for the cone filter out of carbon but wasn't a fan of the nut and bolt method. Other than making my own mould I wasn't sure how else to go about it. I'll give it a shot (y)

Bit of engine bay tidying last week, replaced the standard battery with a smaller Odyssey PC680 so that I could have a better position for the air filter. Couldn't be arsed relocating to the boot so this seemed a nice compromise. A decent weight saving over the stock battery too at 6kg :smile...

Does anyone have any tips for removing the little scuff marks which seem to accumulate on the backs and on the airbag plastic surrounds on the Recaro seats?

Agree with @///M just avoid the carbon as it always looks w**k, same goes for 'dipped' carbon :mask:

Finally some good news! The Clio is running like a dream now. I took it to EFI this weekend and the guy Chris sorted it within about 15 minutes. It turns out the ECU was running a standard map but set up for 630 injectors rather than standard. So it was making the car run lean which isn't great...

Terrible I know. I spoke to Spax about them but they weren't interested. One has snapped as you can see but the other has almost turned itself inside out and destroyed the height adjuster with it!

Quick update, did all the suspension on Monday, replacing the spax coilovers with new front oem shocks, new top mounts and H&R springs. Drives much better now, not surprising given the state of the rear springs lol. Gave the arches a good scrub and degrease whilst the wheels were off too...

Injectors changed, no difference unfortunately. Still getting a rough idle and it seems to be over boosting. I'll try a new actuator next and maybe a boost leak test..... In the mean time I've refurbished another AC compressor with new bearings and a quick lick of paint, should hopefully cure...

Just standard ones for the minute, won't be mapping it for another coupe of months i don't think so I'll just keep it standard for now. Just want it running right
