Try and get the slave cylinder with the one piece metal pipe, I've seen the 2 piece plastic unit fail after only a few miles which means box out again !!

Best gear oil to reduce gear crunching?

Give it a go and report back, 2 bottles will be around £40 so not mega bucks. Don't forget to bleed the clutch.

Best gear oil to reduce gear crunching?

Our experience of Redline MTL was positive until the car was used on track, after a hard session or two the box became 'knotchy' again. In the end we opted for castrol syntrans 75/90 this giving us the best gear change out of all the oils used (We tried Fuchs, MTL, Reno') Also - it's worth...

    Best upgrade for brakes

Pad wise I'd go for front Ferodo DS1.11 or Pagid RS29, rear pad a mild upgrade say Mintex M1144 or similar, front disks Brembo HC, braided lines and decent fluid. Suspension - Bilstein B14 kit would be a good choice, with Simo or Compbrake top-mounts Rear cage - SD via Mark Fish or get one...

Clutches - What are you running for the track?

Standard clutch should be fine, only issue we had was the slave cylinder leaking on the plastic pipe joint. There is a slave cylinder that has a one piece metal pipe - thats the one I would fit now (was it TRW ?)

This is where I got 272 from http://www.bearingsrus.co.uk/other-products/adhesives/loctite/loctite-272-high-strength-high-tempurature-50ml I cleaned all the threads out with and M14 tap and plenty of brake cleaner. I installed the studs using a pair of nuts locked together rather than the hex...
