Clio 197 Cup - Time Attack Build Progress

Might be worth getting yourself an M14x1.5 tap to clean the threads out fully, I did mine with multiple passes of brake cleaner and working a tap in and out to fully clean the threads, then a final bit of brake cleaner, dry with an airline if you can and then Loctite the studs in. I left mine...

Clio 197 Cup - Time Attack Build Progress

No that is correct. I did mine to 25Nm with some Loctite 270 (I think that's the right Loctite anyway) and they've been fine. I just take them out every year and reapply the Loctite.

    Mike's racing blue 197

@Steve.humberstone The short version is that the AR1 is a quicker tyre once it's in the perfect operating window, but you'll only have a couple laps of that then it'll drop off. The MRF is slightly slower BUT more consistent, I found that on a clear track my times with the MRF (hard compound -...

    Pad Life on Track Days

PBS ProRace I would get 4-5 on average, so far my EBC RPX have done 5 I think and probably have another couple in them. But you're right, it'll vary hugely across different users, tracks etc...

Clio 197 Cup - Time Attack Build Progress

I'd suggest changing the handbrake cables while you're refreshing the rear brakes. Mine was a combination of the calipers being knackered and the cables being partially seized up.

    Glacier White 200 Cup

Yeah just punted a couple more holes in the floor. I can't remember if I did both sides or just the drivers side, can't say I'm too concerned about the passenger though :tearsofjoy:

    Glacier White 200 Cup

I have TRS Magnums in mine and were originally 4 point. The buckle has the hole to add the extra strap so you can crush your nads in style, mine are now a 6 point with the addition of the £30 strap or whatever it cost me.

Another French shed! Peugeot 306 XSi Targa rally car!

I originally wasn't going to post anything about this car until I'd been through it and tidied it up, but it needs a lot more work than expected. 1998 Peugeot 306 XSI, 135bhp, just over 1000kg and set up for Targa rally, nav rally etc... Story behind this one is that I owned this actual car...

Please help as no garage can find what's wrong.

I had running issues with my 06 197 recently, struggling to idle, running on 2 cylinders and being hesitant on throttle. I put a new front/upstream lambda in and it's cured it. Bosch part number 0258006046, £42 from Autodoc if you're not in a rush. (Check the plug is correct though as there are...

They're cheap days and good for learning a bit more car control, plus they're normally pretty quiet too! Time Attack doesn't need anything like that for the club classes, it's only when you go into the Pro classes that they get very strict on safety, the only things my car needs are a handheld...
