How do I know which top mounts I have?

There’s a thread on here somewhere that shows the differences. Try the search function.

    Advice and opinions before sale.

I’d remove them too. Should give you a bigger group of potential buyers.

VVt seal, help needed asap please.

It’s a tight fit but if there’s nothing left in there it should go. As @Foxspeed says tap in in squarely using a socket and it should go and make sure it’s covered in oil too. I can remember mine was quite hard to do.

    Shuv's Racing Blue 200...................

Wow prices are a bit bonkers down south aren’t they! @Big Ben i think I paid in the region of £200, I’m guessing it’ll be a bit more now with it being a few years ago. That was full paint correction (clean, decontaminate, polish etc), wheels off and full clean, interior full clean, engine bay...

    Aftermarket rear calipers vs genuine

It certainly looks like it’s the correct calliper. As for quality it should be identical to the one which has Renault written on them. You can see in the pictures above where theres a slightly darker section of red paint would be where Renault would normally be written if you’d bought the...

    Smashed glass

To answer your question yes I’m fairly sure all mk3 boot lids are the same. But as mentioned above glass claim through insurance or even just buying glass yourself might be a better option when you factor in paint. If you could find a single light there’s no reason why you couldn’t change just...

    Shuv's Racing Blue 200...................

I’ve had the full G Techniq coatings applied to two cars, first was a new car which I kept about a year and a half I think. When I sold it the coating was pretty much like new, most of the time a quick jet wash would get the vast majority of the dirt off (including from the wheels). The bits...

    Aftermarket Exhaust - Scorpion

I don’t think the Akra drones usually, if you’re doing a steady 70 in 6th and then have to climb a steep hill it can drone a bit then but other than that if you keep the revs down you can barely hear it. Whereabout are you, if you’re nearby I don’t mind letting you hear mine in person?

RS200 Internal Engine Light Ticking - Suspected Crankshaft Bearing

Actually just seen you said LH side of the bay, maybe forget what I said then. Unless you’re talking LH side when in front of the car?

RS200 Internal Engine Light Ticking - Suspected Crankshaft Bearing

Might be worth checking the condition of the aux belt too, a quick visual check should do. If you’ve got small ish mirror and torch you could probably do it from the top of the engine bay. A while ago mine had a strange ticking/tapping in sync with revs and it was only audible at low rpm, the...

    Shuv's Racing Blue 200...................

Bit of a rollercoaster of emotions for you there I bet! Did they give a reason as to why they changed their mind? Good to see it staying with you though. I’ve been really impressed by ceramic coatings it’ll be good to see what you think. I’ve had a couple of cars with G Techniq coatings...

    Lewis's RB Clio 197

That’s not too bad I suppose, hopefully their turnaround time is quite quick.

    Trackspec Clio 197

I get you now, I’ll have to have a think then cheers.

    Lewis's RB Clio 197

That’s a bit crap, hopefully they’ll sell you a single damper, or at least a front pair. I can totally see why you wanted to tighten that further, it doesn’t look secure at all.

    Trackspec Clio 197

With the Alleggerita’s? They come with centre caps don’t they?

    Trackspec Clio 197

Cheers, didn’t look like they would. Don’t mind when I’m on track but it would annoy me when the car is on the road - guess I’ll be saving up a bit for the Alleggerita’s [emoji853].

    Shuv's Racing Blue 200...................

Oh this came as a bit of a shock. Shame to see you selling up, hopefully you’ll stick around? Hopefully the new owner will be too, I love that car and how mint it is.

    Track day tuition

The only tuition I’ve had is just booking some on a track day in your own car. I think this is probably the cheapest way you could do it and I can definitely recommend it. As Nick said when you start hiring cars it’ll get expensive, I’ve seen on that Driver61 website that they have links to...

    Nicole ? Papa ! - Clio 197 F1

Sounds like you had a good day and you’re 100% right about getting tuition. I also agree with you about Integra’s, I had my first “VTEC experience” on track last week (just as passenger in a mates DC2), they’re pretty special engines. It also made the Clio look heavy and cumbersome, the...
