It sounds like it’ll m be a great trip taking it home, I’ve heard all the locals show lots of love for them. Shame about all your problems but great to see them being sorted.

So still waiting on an antenna coming from France after being sent a mk2 one by mistake. But in the meantime I managed to score and absolute bargain which has just arrived.

Best to check with Tom on here, I can’t remember. Look in the group buys and there a Compbrake one - he’ll get you them cheaper than direct through Compbrake too.

Thanks mate. The part of that sharks fin one that goes through the roof looks similar but my antenna base only has the one coax connector on so I don’t know if this would work even if it physically fitted. At a guess it might, maybe ones for the radio and ones for the gps signal???

If you’d tried to describe the colour combo I’d probably say no but it actually looks good.

Also, it makes a huge difference not having the antenna fitted, if there wasn’t a hole in the roof I’d be tempted to leave it off.

Not much to update other than I eventually motivated myself to figure out why the radio reception became suddenly abysmal one day. Took the antenna off to find huge amounts of corrosion both underneath and on the circuit board. Tried cleaning it up as best as I could but it hasn’t improved much...

No the bolt pattern is different between the two. For the newer style I think your only option is compbrake.

I’ve been and checked what I “actually” paid and had a quote for it be done again and lets just say my initial guess was slightly out haha. Maybe that was how much I told the Mrs it was??? Either way, as mentioned above £400+ is the starting rate for a good job.
