You can buy the removal tools on ebay fairly cheap.

Yeh the ones on the back of the head unit itself. Worth a try and will only take 5 minutes.

I've just looked again and god knows how I didn't see it but to answer my own question yes they did answer you. Doh! I'm still very much looking forward to hearing your opinion on the kit.

Mine's randomly locked itself before and done the same thing, unable to enter a code and just beeps when you press anything. I found that wiggling the connector sorted it, might be worth a try.

I’m looking forward to hearing your options on the kit, I’d got a quote a while ago for a similar kit and decided against it. Did they answer those questions you asked in the email photo you posted?

As sad as it is to see somebody selling up that would be an absolute no brainier for me (money aside).

Yeh I’d be leaning towards a button or switch problem with this too. Have you ruled out the brake and/or clutch switch by using the other one that you don’t normally use?

I can’t help you with the question but a word of advice from what I’ve seen in the past. It would be sensible to buy a whole Megane and run it as a daily for a while to make sure the engine is all ok. I’ve seen a few people buy just an engine to fit and run into endless, costly engine problems...

I’d get the wheels checked first. Then I’d check the anti-rotation links for play, they’ll probably seem fine when fitted but once removed any play should be more obvious. Or just replace them for the cost and simplicity of changing them. After that maybe look at track rods and then if it’s...

Just had a service this morning at my local RS specialist T Byrne, oil and filter done and stamp in the book. But whatever’s going on I hope it isn’t contagious, three other RS’s and three knackered engines!!
