    Trackspec Clio 197

@trackspec197 got a question about those Rota SS10's for you if you don't mind - can you fit the Renault centre cap's in with the wheels fitted? It might just be those pictures above but it looks like there wouldn't be room because of the hub.

    Something a bit different...

Top quality work there by the look of it.

Welcome along. I know someone selling some 7.5J speedlines if you’re not interested in the 8J ones, I can put you in touch if you want. Based near Newcastle.

Weak syncros may not be the issue after all...

I’m not disagreeing here (and it would be brilliant if this turns out to be true) but if that was the case how has there so many incorrectly fitted or faulty clutches.

You’re right I suppose, I was almost going to but then they all seemed to calm down, maybe somebody else did or they remembered they weren’t racing. That’s a very silly overtake really, very lucky that the pickup didn’t use the full track or understeer into the camera car. Unfortunately he’ll...

How do I know which top mounts I have?

It’s almost certainly the new style as mentioned but I’d say it’s best to check to be sure. There’s a chance your car could have been built before the change and sat around an import centre / dealer for ages.

Thanks I know it’s the best and have heard they’re ok for road use but the main thing putting me off is how long it’ll last before needing a rebuild and what happens when it does wear out - I’m assuming the plates just don’t grip and it slips like a clutch would. The car does get used on the...

So the first track day of the year went well with nothing really to report other than I want a diff. Had a mate there in his Integra DC5 and you can really tell how much work the diff does. So.....decisions decisions, over to you lot to do what you do best and spend other people’s money - Quaife...

Sideshowfreds Ultra Red 200 -- Fully Caged Track Toy

Well worth doing this unless your car is a full on track car and you’ll be stripping and cleaning the brakes on a regular basis.

    Viewing classifieds threads??

One of the admins will point you in the right direction I’m sure. Good point about it not saying when you click on the link though, I’m sure it’s something they could change.

Well it’s turned out to be a nice cheap fix for “the noise” - boot hinges lubed up and it’s sorted. For now at least! Also managed to get new rear discs and pads fitted earlier. Just the fronts to check over in the next few days (they should be good though) and it’s all ready for the first track...

    Viewing classifieds threads??

There is indeed, it involves PayPal and a small fee. Well worth it though as you’ll get to see all the how to’s as well.

    Gearbox help

This is probably the easiest option if you’re near enough to one of them. I think I’ve seen Pro Line Motorsport say they can do this too. If not as mentioned above buy a second box and have it overhauled.

    Possibly selling need advice

Private sales are always going to get you the most money but you may find it hard to find somebody who’s looking for the exact spec you have and harder still to find somebody willing to pay the finance off first before giving you the rest of the cash. It’ll probably help a lot if you could get a...

    Wheel arch liners

You’re best bet if you’re wanting them cheap is to wait for somebody breaking a car but (if you’re talking about the front liners) unfortunately these are quite rare to find undamaged so you may be waiting a long time. There’s obviously all the proper scrap yards but there’s also a few people...
