I was running a Braille Lithium battery on my car for more than a year - never really had a problem but I had to be sure to disconnect when I'd be away or not driving it for more than a month. If Lithium batteries go flat then they are dead. Saying that, all the latest items have some sort of...
Blimey....
You are right - you can not really "sign off" a job like this and chuck it in the post hoping that the customer won't notice, offering a refund is the minimum they can do really..
I'll take a pic next time and post. Basically you pierce the carpet with the needles facing upwards (as you naturally push the mat forwards with your feet when driving) and you cut two holes on the mat. After you put the fixings in place It simply clips into position - it works perfectly in all...
I used to use velcro as well but gave up in the end due to loss of adhesion. Basically the velcro could come off the matt when removing for cleaning so I opted for clips on both sides and never looked back.
I can not even begin to describe how much I love such projects. Fair play to you for the commitment - state of the car on purchase basically shows how easy is for a car of such age to go downhill if not looked after. I currently daily mine and no matter how much attention I throw at it it's...

I've currently got a 197 non cup kit on the car and a 197 cup in the storage, I was planning to go this weekend and check but didn't happen - when I do...

As far as I know there are 6 different setups here.
1. 197 non cup
2. 197 cup
3. Early 200 non cup with same top mounts (softer than 197 non cup)...
Love it. Another shout for the chavvy headlights, very cheap items to replace, cars are being broken all the time.
I'm also in London (Camden town), give me a shout if you are around next time! (After lockdown it now seems)
Owning 3 cars in London is a bit tricky, mainly for storing/parking rather than anything else, so I had a word with myself and decided that having 2 focused cars in the garage and mainly plodding around in the shed (Yaris mk1 d4d) is not really ideal.
Firstly, I don't get to drive my cars...
