Spend a good few hours on the car between evenings and the Bank Holiday. Car is now only a couple of small jobs away from an mot, bleed brakes, connect horn button wiring, fit last few trim items. Nice to have it nearly there though

I can see the sticker for it but have you got an extinguisher plumbed into it at the moment? if you have is there any chance you could post some pics (or at least describe) where the nozzles in the engine bay are pointing at?

Progress is going very slowly at the moment. I got married 5 weeks ago which meant 3 weekends didn't get spent on the car. Follow that with only having limited hours to get the welding done but it's very nearly there now. Can't wait for this to be done then the rebuild can start. Might be ready...

I would say they look like Cup Racer wheels. What type/size of tyre is on them as that might help?

The cage itself was just under £1200. Obviously there is fitting on top of that unless your doing it yourself. When I look at how this cage sits in the car it's well worth it in my mind from the safety aspect. Sent from my VKY-L09 using Tapatalk

You should be fine. This is how far back the harnesses are mounted in the Cup Racers. I know that is the old Sabelt ones being Blue but they use the same mounting point

If it's the proper Renault Sport branded harnesses you should be fine as they mount onto a bar that goes across the rear shock top mounting points.

Slower weekend than I was hoping for. Managed to get the dash bar out and re shaped though with the help of my brother in law. At least I have managed to position the cage in the car and can see exactly how it fits. Hoping to get all the foot plates welded in over then next couple of weekends...

Planning on it yes, just trying to get a day sorted with my brother-in-law for him to come and do the welding. It's essentially the same cage as in your car but with a few less cross bars so lots of plates and boxes. I'm very much looking forward to it going in!

Not booked any yet, waiting for the car to be finished before i do. I have booked a day off i September ready for a track evening though so that may well be it's first proper outing. Going to do some road miles in it to get used to the changes first. What can i say, it was an expensive month...
