    roof dents

The ones I've seen advertised say they don't need to get behind as they use suckers and either pull back out or use vacuum to pop back out. http://www.f1dents.co.uk/ Never used these guys but shows you the tools they use & go to gallery then hover over dent show after repair

    roof dents

I would leave to experts, try dent removal guys as they suck the dent back out and usually doesn't cause damage to paint. Most travel so case of google your area trying to push out by hand requires panel beating skills as so easy to make worse.

    Cold gearbox woes

Could some one who has this 1st gear problem try this out. Usually I reverse onto my drive so the last gear I've been in is reverse, well today after getting back from the shops I drove on and about hour later remember I wanted to see when it wouldn't go in 1st after starting up did it have...

    Cold gearbox woes

Also just tried something out as needed to go down to shops, instead of my usual with releasing clutch and rev. to get into 1st, I pushed and held the brake pedal down and it seemed to have the same effect as it then went into 1st smoothly. So perhaps it is a fluid pressure thing, think I...

    Cold gearbox woes

According to the manual it is, it also states when clutch pressure plate is changed that the slave cylinder is also replaced and has a section in troubleshooting when customer overfills brake cylinder and the parts that need replacing both on brakes and gearbox. Again something that may...

    Cold gearbox woes

I had look through the manual and under troubleshooting it lists the usual for the slave cylinder although they describe the judder as creep because if you took your foot off the break (hand brake off) then when clutch depressed the car still moves or creeps along. They also list when the slave...

    Cold gearbox woes

If the slave cylinder was at fault then surely it would affect all gears but it's goes into 2nd ok when cold, although all issues I've had with clutch cylinders in the past is that it caused either judder or not engaging the clutch at all. Also crunching usually only occurs when it is badly...

    Cold gearbox woes

For what it costs worth trying gearbox oil change as can make a difference and you can inspect oil for metal particles as that'll be sure sign syncro/gears have worn and a lot cheaper than removing box and stripping that down

    Cold gearbox woes

Could also be syncro issue more so when oil is cold, if you can get it into 2nd then it's smooth going into 1st. Next time you have trouble getting it into 1st try releasing clutch then depressing + when clutch is released rev engine to spin up shafts then engage clutch and shift and see if...

    Car Audio Direct Discount?

Currently have Alpine, but have had kenwood units in the past kinda alternate between the 2 brands and they've never let me down. But agree that this HU is much nicer looking than current Alpine and if I was buying new again then I'd go for Kenwood, great price as well and CAC good company to...

    Hyundai Veloster

It's expensive as well for what it is, so to the driver he's got a sporty coupe but to his passengers it's a family four door. When i saw the advert over weekend i was more listening and just glancing up as thought they said it only had 3 doors (excluding boot) and thought it was a way of...

Tragic accident but you gotta ask yourself

Could well be an early EVO and like classic scoobies they are now sub £4k to buy, but still very easy to tune and most an average kicking 300+BHP. If his parents are rich then insuarance wouldn't have been a problem. My local scooby garage manager I was chatting to earlier in the year told me...

Water damage on top of engine - common?

well you can test that yourself, just get a bucket of water or hose then simulate rain filling up the black trim panel bit by wipers, then open bonnet and if it's wet in that area then you know where it's coming from as you'll see the path as well
