Which is the best Track for a novice

What tracks you go to? Would be good later in year to do a group track day. As badge snobbery sums it nicely as it's usually BMW owners they can't stand being behind you so they blast past to then screw up the next corner coz all they want to then do is drift, really annoyed me as ruined my...

Which is the best Track for a novice

abrasive is good for traction keeps you & car on the track, all tracks I've been on seem the same. Always worth having a separate set of rubber for the track, keep your street rubber for the street.

Which is the best Track for a novice

Point about idiots on track, that seems to be a recent thing I started going to tracks back in 04/05 and there was a real camaraderie between drivers experienced drivers not only keep clear of novices but when you were in pits some guys would even come over and point out things you were doing...

Superchips Blue Fin ECU Remap ???

I would wait, as the bluefin isn't customisable and is a lot of money for just a canned tune, With my predator that worked out £194 and once I went passed CAI and exhaust that it had maps for I contacted a US tuner gave him copy of base map then told him what i had and he would email the tunes...

Superchips Blue Fin ECU Remap ???

Most of the performance you get is from this product is from them locking down the octane rating, so instead of having a slack manufacturer tune that a has to accommodate poor octane fuel possibly being used they set everything for say super 97+ that makes biggest difference. Have used this...

    Seat Harnesses

On track/driver training I was always told only ever use harness's with either roll cages & harness bars, Floor mounting was dangerous for reasons given and these guys are professionals so have no doubts about what they told me. Plus on the road as mentioned being able to duck is very...

Any recommendations for a new headunit?

Use this unit myself, but with optional HU power (9"x3"x2" foot print, mounted mine under dash) amp they do. The amp makes Massive improvement to sound quality + HU sounds best when you run components with separate sub. As I found running this without sub the sound was muddled but when you...

    Seat Harnesses

Another piece of info for safety when using harness's - if you not attaching them to an rollcage bar, then get a specialist harness bar which attaches to the old seat belt mounts and this then keeps the belt straps horizontal & high to back of seats because if you run the belt straps down to the...

    Cold gearbox woes

yeah sounds fine, as syncro's only help with the gears meshing at higher rpm's can still be a bit out, straight cut (dog tooth) is the way to go but for everyday driving bloody nightmare same goes for triple plate clutches great if your on the track but no good crawling in traffic.

    Cold gearbox woes

Good to hear as been working for me as well now, just been out now and again after reversing into parking spot went forward & it was in, although not as smooth as earlier, but when it doesn't it is like shifting without the clutch How many miles you got on the clock? Mines just gone over...

    Post De-Badge Outline

I used T-cut with very light rubbing in circular motion over a larger area than just where 'Clio' badge was and this did the trick perfectly, if metallic with topcoat then something like megguires paint restorer (lighter version of T-cut)

    Cold gearbox woes

Got in this morning and again straight into 1st, so from now on I'm going to always put it in forward gear after I reverse and park up. I suspect I may possibly have worn bushes on the gear linkage somewhere or the way gear layout is with reverse it makes shifting into 1st (after it's been in...

    roof dents

yeah just looked in manual and it is a pig to remove to so much to do and if you got a 200 looks like it's got airbags in front pillors as well as rear pillors (think cup has this excluded) as mention again about disabling before attempting to remove trim due to it going off. Also it's keeping...
