    Silverstone Edition 200 - AST 5100

Mega. Done a wicked job! Easiest thing to do is email the pics to yourself and select a lower quality.

    Oh Deer

They’re hard to come by. Renault do still sell them but they’re expensive.

We need some pics of the damage behind the bumper

A spot weld drill bit will help get all those useless brackets removed too…. https://share.google/Apymv2K6iQhWCTLLQ

    Engines 197/200

They’re slightly different. 197 is 830 engine code, 200 is 832. The 200 has tweaked cam geometry, but essentially there’s no real change. The difference in gearbox between the 197 and 200 is more noticeable.

    Cutting out at high revs.

Apologies, I thought it was a Meglio. Ignore me. I'd still check connections.

    Cutting out at high revs.

Feels connection related to me. Is it a phase 1 or 2 loom which you've used for the conversion?

    Silverstone Edition 200 - AST 5100

Remove what you can, and have an extinguisher handy is my suggestion. Looking forward to seeing the outcome.

    Glacier White 200 Cup

I think I miss my Clio. Nothing better than razzing a slow car fast around the ring.

    CL10 CYA project

It’s basically complete now. People usually seem to sell them once they’ve reached this point :tearsofjoy: White on silver works good I think

    Low compression?

It’s been ages since I tested one, but I’m pretty certain of the 2 I’ve done, both were ‘low’ like yours. Both made good power on the dyno and ran fine and used next to no oil with hard use on track. Throttle open (using the pedal) is definitely required, and you will see a bit of a change...

^ this is how I do it. It’s probably your foot positioning which is making it so difficult.

    Piston to identify

Looks like a 197 piston to me

    Piston to identify

Looks like a standard 197 piston to me. What is it you’re trying to accomplish? Is it an uknown replacement engine?

    Piston to identify

I can’t tell you that. The piston could belong to any of the engine codes in the above table. The engine code on the block would give you more of an idea

    Piston to identify

    It’s a standard piston, of size B

    Fast Road/Track Nardo Grey 197

I’ve got a 197 box in pieces which you could switch all your internals into if you are struggling.

    Engine sound after starting

Could also be the alternator, AC pump, or tensioner. Removing the drive belt will confirm that it's either of the, but won't help you single out the issue.
