What spring rates did you decide to go with? Out of interest with the weights, mine was 1260kg with half a tank of fuel and I was 76.5kg. I have since stripped it completely and removed a seat but gone from half cage to full cage. Would love to weigh it again.

Yea done a bit of research on gaz spring rates. I don’t think the rears are as common, they are a bit thinner to fit between the shock and the body, but I could be corrected on that. I think the last time I looked you can get gaz springs about £50 each and they seem to be cheaper when not buying...

This is probably a dumb question, but here we go! When you de cat the car and the mapper, "maps out" the emissions light, does the second lambda do anything anymore (is it now just disabled?)? Can it be removed? Or does it still do something?

Reviving an old thread! Is there a reason everyone seems to go for the 021 gearbox? There are a few others with the same final drive as the 021. Can they also be used?

I went from the standard E46 M3 viscous diff to a plated drexler and the difference was night and day. I imagine this will be the same type of change. I don’t get any of that spinning up that you experience in your video when sending it over curbs etc

A slight warning with this. If you use you laptop for other diagnostic tools installing the linked clip earlier might break it. I use INPA for BMW and it no longer picks up the car when plugged in

The cheaper CLiP alternative arrived today. Will be interesting to see how I get on with this. Was always annoying that cloned CLiP was expensive and had connection issues, was so much easier to get the BMW tools when I got the M3 as they are just a free install and cheap cable.

What you say here about RPX pads is very interesting. I have them in my M3 and thought they were very good for the price but I have at times suffered ABS issues. I wonder is it the pads! The way you say about getting slowed up and on the throttle early, I found that really worked in the Clio...

Anyone else bought this and had it working on Windows 11 with no issues? Can it do everything CLiP can do, like airbags etc? It says cars as old as 2005, anyone know if it works on 172/182 as well?
