    Fuel pipe

I decided to make my own line with AN fittings: https://clio197.net/threads/sprint-hillclimb-197.61446/post-758091

When stripping the car we noticed that the fuel line was badly rotted and needed replaced. You might have seen my other post about fuel lines that said that they were extortionate from Renault. I didn't have any fittings or hose to make an OEM style line, because I would have to buy that anyway...

    Sprint Hillclimb 197

Had some time over the weekend to tidy up the front arms. Ideally I'd liked to have gotten these blasted and powder coated along with everything else but the bushes and balljoints are still good so decided to wire wheel, prime and paint to tidy them up for now. I have a spare set of arms that I...

    Glacier White 200 Cup

Great info thanks. I also have a Mac so will try that out, I also plan to try two cameras soon. My timer currently exports in JSON, but I can easily convert.

Did you add an oil temperature sensor and somehow connect it to the CANchecked logger? Is this wired into can wires directly or into the OBD2 port? (you probably have a post on it somewhere, sorry) Can I ask how you overlay the data onto videos? I have my own data logger (timer) and would like...

    Fuel pipe

Its the one thats closer to the outside of the car. Number 3 in that pic. The one without the balloon looking thing in line. Although I can’t get the fitting off that connects number 3 to number 1. Probably because the pipe is so badly corroded. If I force it, it will likely come off. But I...

    Fuel pipe

I was stripping my car to tidy up the underside and noticed the small hardline section in the fuel pipe was really rotten. Has anyone got a custom line made that uses the OEM push on fittings on the tank and fuel rail? The price of the full fuel pipe from Renault is obscene!

    Sprint Hillclimb 197

I finally got a weekend where I could go down and work at the Clio. Got the whole back half undersealed now and got the springs changed on Gaz Golds and the subframe notched for the solid mounts. When I got the Gaz Golds 3 or 4 years ago it must be now, I put ACF-50 on them. They still look like...

    Back box heat shield

Ahh good idea, basically could make these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/335530462080?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=fok1e2kdswk&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=XFYM6ZaDRF2&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY I have no tax/mot/number plates on the car unfortunately. If I ever do a trackday...

    Back box heat shield

I was wondering if anyone has replaced the heat shield above the back box (between the car and the backbox) thats hidden by the diffuser? Or has anyone come up with a better solution? Like would putting that silver tape on the shell be enough? My car is track only. My original heat shield has 2...

I wanted to get the cup racer ARB and new springs on this winter along with the subframe mounts. Rear brake hard lines aren’t great so got some new hardline to make them, I got the stronger hard line than copper that has a plastic coating on it. I also noticed when I had it on a friends lift...

    Glacier White 200 Cup

I notice that my car pushes the front bumper out slightly where it meets the arch (mostly drivers side too). I haven’t bothered mounting it more strongly as I feel if it pushes out it wont wear as much lol Stripping the car makes it so much more enjoyable to drive, a light car is so good...

    Glacier White 200 Cup

Nice. I currently have the front somewhere around the middle and rears anywhere from full hard to 5 from hard depending on the track/hill. I have actually just ordered those bushes lol. Didn’t know they had the cup racer spec to move the subframe.

    Glacier White 200 Cup

Great news that the springs worked and arent bad in the rain either? What settings did you start with on the shocks after changing springs? I saw you said you raised the subframe, how did you do that? Solid bushes? Where did you get them?

    Sprint Hillclimb 197

Was watching @burrellbloke's thread and he got some cup racer spec springs for his car. So I bit the bullet and done the same lol I went for 450lbs front and 650lbs rear. Front is about bang on for what the cup racers used, the rear is 75lbs-100lbs softer. I'm a little worried that it will be...

Sounds exactly how I was plucking 650 lol! The I think cup racer is 750 or somewhere about there, sounded a bit mad

    Glacier White 200 Cup

Nice! I think I will fire them an email to get some. I was also thinking of 450lbs front, how did you decide on rears? I was thinking of 650lbs rear which is still softer than cup racers, but maybe thats a bit crazy?
