    coilover choice/advice

not sure if it would be allowed. But if my inboard spring works out like a 300lb spring i could put a 150lb or 200lb coilover spring on and it should be like a 450lb or 500lb coilover spring lol :tearsofjoy: Edit: I still think this is a bad idea though lol

    coilover choice/advice

The rules say: "Springs are free but must retain their original location." I still have to look into the springs in the drift works link above. But I had a "silly" idea. I was researching how springs work and I found out that springs that are in parallel is the same as adding the rates...

    coilover choice/advice

The custom springs are ~£125 + vat each. So pricey enough. Such a nightmare that I can’t just run a true rear coilover

    coilover choice/advice

From the standard cup racer setup sheet they run 75N/mm (430lbs) front and 130N/mm (740lbs) rear (true coilover). I used an online converter for N/mm to lbs so hopefully its right. I know they are able to run lighter front springs as they have a heavier roll bar, lighter cars and the rollcenter...

    coilover choice/advice

Thought I would just update this again as we talked about it here. Ill put it out there that this isn't my field and take everything below with a pinch of salt. I did some rough (they were rough as the rear beam pivot is at an angle and I have no lift etc) measurements to work out the effect of...

    Gaz Golds number of clicks

Was out changing the setup on my gaz golds and noticed that my front passenger shock has a total of 24 clicks counting the first one as number 1 and my front driver shock has a total of 22 clicks counting the first one as number 1. Anyone else got differences on theirs? How many is there meant...

    Water in track car boot

Hi, My track car sits outside unfortunately and water seems to collect along the back of the back seats and in the tool well. Seems to be quite a lot of water, the recess behind the back seats is full and the tool well is about half full. The car still has a roof lining and it isnt wet and i...

    Beanys RB 200 cup

Have you got a link to the cup racer setup? I have got my back wheels as parallel as possible as I find the Clio is very safe at the back end

Is there any brand of spring I could get that would fit that would be heavier or am I stuck with the likes of yellow speed and kw etc

    coilover choice/advice

Do you think a true rear coilover would make the rear of my car more lively? i’m not really sure what the difference is other than the “lever” on the spring is a bit different. Although I think the heavier yellowspeed rear spring works out somewhere between 400-450lbs, which a bit heavier than...

    coilover choice/advice

I also run gaz golds and really like them. Hard for the road mind, I drive to the tracks in the car. I do have a slightly strange setup as I am in a road going sprint series. Makes my car a bit heavier so I am 700 front and I run the heavier yellow speed rear spring as I'm not allowed to change...

    215/45/17 with ET 45 - Fitment issue

Can't believe their unit of measurement is "one finger", can you get a guy with a small finger lol I run the front of my car pretty low on standard wheels, with 225/45 R888R's with 20mm wheel spacers, mine probably wouldn't pass the one finger rule, but I am on coilovers, so a bit lower than...

If you click on the EE brackets on PMS the bump steer stuff is in there, along with longer drive shafts etc

PureMotorsport Cup Racer EE Bracket Kit

I think we are agreeing but wording it differently lol My Clio runs cup racer heights but no cup racer parts (Geo probs isn't ideal, but would need the full setup to fix it correctly). I understand that cup racers used the matching corrections, was just stating that it may not always match if...

PureMotorsport Cup Racer EE Bracket Kit

Wasn’t getting at you soz Just sounded like thats what you meant and wanted to clear up that its not suitable for standard cars that are lowered. Incase others also thought the same. I’m well aware that the clio hub setup is different than most which is why I like them, but what I said about...

PureMotorsport Cup Racer EE Bracket Kit

Can't edit the above, but just read the pinder wagon post and it says that the roll center correction might not be (probably wont be) the same as the bump steer correction
