Used to get 27mpg from my old engine. Got a engine change from renault in May and I now average 31.1 mpg and im driving quite hard. This engine is much better :) I do a few motorway trips to London (about one a month), and on the long cruise at 70-80 i get 36mpg

Alarm makes me laugh My key battery died a few weeks back so i had to open the pass side door with the key, and my alarm went off. I could hear it in the cabin, but from the outside with the doors closed it sounded like a phone ring tone rather than an alarm. Worst alarm iv ever had on a car...

isnt this the renaultsport monitor? your car wont have it if you havent opted for it. I am correct in saying this was an option on the new clio as well as the megane?? ***edit.... seems people have beat me to it and explained it much better than me lol ;)

Ya I have the same thing. had my R27 for 19 months and I was getting the itch to change... wanted a megane 250. But as I said on another thread, I went on a test drive the megane was very quick but on the same road on the way home the clio was slower but much more fun! Im keeping my clio now...

Black WOW is the best product for plastic trim in my opinion. Brings up the faded trim on my R27 very well. I use it on my wheel arches too. Great product and lasts ages. Dont be put off by the price, as you only need a little tiny amount (pea sized on a foam applicator) so it lasts ages.

You could always try and save a few grand and buy a 172 for weekends ;)

Yes thats a possibility. When I first seen the new megane and read the reviews I thought it wouold deffo be my next car. It still might be. It also seems the natural 'next step up'. But it was missing that fun element of the clio, so yes when i do change it may be for a 200 :)

Was thinking about and flirting with the idea of getting a new megane 250 cup on a PCP. Went down to er "have a look" lol and went on a test drive of their demo 250 with cup pack. I didnt do the deal as it turned out to be more than I wanted to pay, mainly because of the appauling px price...
