Well, I don't think they can force you to have your cambelt done on your service - it's just recommended - and if it does go wrong and breaks, it's going to cost quite a bit more and will do more damage. Just had my 5 year service too, but not having the belts/water pump done until the next...

Yeah, pay should be done on performance with any job like sales etc. You do right in getting out of there - have to feel appreciated as an employee... and as sad as it is - it's often all about the money! Unless you're the type of person who REALLY loves doing what you do. I only know...
