It is ridiculous isn't it... Seeing as Renault pay up to 80% normally, surely they'll give in on £400, especially as they will be receiving a meaty £2k from arnold clark! The garage also has a nice offer of half price labour if you're a member of this forum. Might give that a shot if RUK don't...

Absolutely love the feel of the non cup wheels, feel so chunky! Was wondering if it's possible to fit that wheel to a cup? I know the cruise and radio buttons will be in the way but is there a way to just swap the rim of it?

I think you might find it's the beginning of failing snychros, mine grinds into 3rd, 4th and 6th and i have the same symptoms you were describing. I only just bought the car (gearbox is about to be replaced under warranty) so I don't know which problem arose first, though.
