What size and how much nimbus heat shield did you use? I have been thinking about replacing the knackered black fabric heat shield in my Clio.

I really rate Direzzas. Best tyre I have used on track.

    Glacier White 200 Cup

The gearbox went back in to the car yesterday. Despite the wet weather it was all done in about 6 hours. The gearbox drain sump temperature sensor will be protected by the Clio's under tray. The LSD sounded quiet when we took it for a test drive today. The gearbox seems to be working okay...

Black Oz Ultraleggeras on blue car?

I did have a set of gold Ultraleggeras on my white 200. Wrong offset really as they were too far out but the suspension at that time was super stiff to stopped any major rubbing.

    Wishbone part?

Lower swivel joint? It is the joint on the left or right side of the photo - not the one on the middle. If you ask a non-specialist Renault garage they will tell you that you have to buy the half part of the knuckle with the swivel joint inside it. If you ask anyone else you can buy the...

CLIO 197 CUP - Project TF

@EthanMenace can probably give you some tips. He just came home one Friday afternoon and took the box out on the drive whilst I was doing some work from home indoors. It was all done in about 3 hours or so.

Same here. I don’t think I have ever seen the Cup wheels in any other colour than the original anthracite.

Going to inspect a Clio 3 RS 197 for purchase, have some questions

If you want to check the mileage then a MOT history check is a good start https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/ But it is always difficult trying to make sure an older car has the right mileage unless you are prepared to pay for a vehicle check - but even those are not always correct. Are you...

    Glacier White 200 Cup

I thought that with track use a gearbox would last around five years or so. Clearly we abuse our gearbox too much and it will require more regular attention. I am considering whether an auto blipper might help prolong the life of the gearbox as I am useless at heel and toe.

    Glacier White 200 Cup

The gearbox has been opened. There was a smell of burnt oil as if the gearbox had got very hot. This explanation was sent about the state if the gearbox: "3rd gear synchro is no longer synchronising, this has caused the sliding hub (which picks up synchro before the gear) to mash the gear...
