Finally got the car back from having the full cage. Started stripping the heater out. Not the easiest thing to get out, might have been easier if the dash bar was removed. Also stripped unused wires from the rear of the car. Need to wrap these back up and then start on the front. Anyone...

The pics of the cup racers seem to have a bolt or something there. Probably why they rub more than mine as it pops out slightly lol

Thats right. They have wider track by a little over 20mm or so. I believe they also ran a 5mm spacer and they did have the 8J wheel. The speedline is ET68, but most aftermarket wheels you see for clios are around ET50-ET55 which would push the wheel out even further along with the wider track...

Anyone found reasonably priced after market wheels that fit with the cup racer setup? Most after market stuff seems to have a lower offset, with the cup racer widening the front the lower offset would have the wheel in the arch I think?

Decided I will go full racecar and shed as much weight as I can. So heater will be coming out. But I know the windscreen fogging up would do my head in so I got this tiny heater and its only 600g (dry)

I got a friend to plug a reader in and to find 0 on the steering angle sensor for me when I had a similar issue. Might cause an issue with the yaw and the angle sensor not reading what they expect. Weirdly on his reader my steering angle sensor only read values in the first full turn either...

Wish I thought of this at the time lol I spaced both down, then put an extender on the steering wheel to bring it closer. But because of the angle, bringing it closer also made it a little higher again :/

Decided that I am going to add the front half of the cage so that I can change class which means that I can do the odd hillclimb without needing MOT/tax/insurance (does my head in needing this to do one or two hills a year). My dad thinks he will do a sprint or two then too. Took the dash out...

Got the cup racer ARB today

Yea! The bump really caught me out on that run. I have a video from behind and you can see the rear jump up, I'm sure the front did similar but can't see it on the video. Must try and it get it uploaded. After the bump I stopped trying to make the corner and just get it slowed down lol

First hillclimb went really well. Really enjoyed it! Only one hairy moment where I went over a bump in the braking zone and no amount of brake or lock would get it round the corner :tearsofjoy: felt like it sped up and just went straight! Just managed to get it stopped before a steep bank. Saw...

I went with the 225's on my track car as they were cheaper and I thought wider would be better. But I think I regret it as I always think now after having the 225's that the 215's would be "pointier". I feel like the 225's bulge slightly on a 7.5J wheel and roll a bit more.
