Back to original topic. I've opted for a BMC panel filter although apparently there's no gain to be had from it as the OEM filter works perfectly. On a side note anybody got reviews of the airbox foam removed?

I like that front bumper to be honest. Better than what renault did with the standard 200 ;)

Thanks for comments all. I wasn't expecting anything special in the bends after years of 197 trackday heaven but after a late night drive Saturday it really impresses me. For its size a very nimble and chuckable car and the LSD really makes a big difference here, you can feel it pulling you out...

And replaced it with this: MeganeSport 265 Trophy No. 03/50 in Liquid Yellow. 12k on the clock, pretty much mint inside and out. Had dealer replace the drivers seat base as it was a little worn, apart from that it drives beautifully. So much more refined...

I wouldn't mind if they actually fixed some potholes with the money, I've had to get the 172s alignment done 3 times in 6 months due to some dirty big hole in the road.

Defo worth getting it tracked up, I do my motors every 12 months. With our roads it only takes one pothole to knock it out a little, multiply that over a years worth and put in steering parts that wear...

Renault spent thousands in development making it the class winning hot hatch known for amazing handling. Stick to the standard setting.

I run 215s on the cup wheels, apparently the 225s rub and that's not ideal on track.

Danny I did wonder if they'd have some sort of secret mods to help praise them but I've driven it amongst many other 250s and 265s and they all felt the same to be honest. No major plans for this one, just an exhaust, intercooler and remap. Getting out of the modifying game.

Okay looking at a used renaultsport 250 this week but its past is putting me off, the misses keeps telling me I'm being stupid. Read on! Car is an 11 plate with 11,300 miles on the clock, has every option I wanted ( cup chassis, recaros, RS monitor, black 19s ) and is generally in very good...

But it also gets very annoying for us old time regulars who just paste the same replies all day long :p

Update: chap viewed the 197 last Tuesday and phoned me Friday to say he wants it. Just waiting for a deposit to be received and its coming off the market!

With the difference is arch sizing I'd highly doubt it but reckon the engine trays are interchangeable.
