Could be wiper stalk as you suggested but you don’t want to be guessing and throwing money at it.

I’ve read people putting the cartons of oil in a bucket of warm water to ease with the refilling. Also wear gloves as gear box oil stinks!

Fuel filter is in the fuel tank and only needs replaced after 140000 miles!

Passenger side wheel off to refill gearbox oil, you will see a white threaded plastic filler 'bolt'. Obviously you have to be under the car to drain the gearbox. When refilling keep the car as level as possible. You will need a hose, funnel and 2 litres of gearbox oil.

Maybe rear suspension is worn? If I was changing springs/shocks I would keep the same all corners. The Cup set up is pretty good standard for road use.

If you are changing to Cup shocks then I suggest you do front and back.

There are too many options to pick from on the 197/200 to use the term 'full fat' so it's hard to answer a question unless I know all the details. :poke:

The ‘full fat’ term is really from the 172/182 cars. But if you’re suggesting you have a ‘full fat’ 197 then it should have Cup springs and shocks on it.

Styling wise they look the same. The Renault spoiler has the Renault Sport logo embossed on the underside of the spoiler and end plates.

Take your time, there are good examples out there.

TBH the time you fart about trying to change the bulb whilst getting cut and frustrated you are quicker taking the bumper off, it's really quite easy.
