I believe the standard front springs are progressive, with the standard rears being linear.

I'm assuming you mean no.2 in the diagram? Any Renault dealer should have one, failing that contact a Renault breakers.

I'd look at stripping and cleaning the front brakes, the pads can be prone to sticking. Remove pads, clean the calipers where the pads sit and then copper grease the backing plates of the pads. This maintenance also helps stop the caliper pins corroding into the calipers.

Didn't know that. They also have the stereo option though.

The mk4 200t has an option to play different engine sound effects through the stereo system, but as above not the mk3 200.

There's a white tab on the boot lock which you can move with a screwdriver from inside the car to open the boot, you can then take out the button at the bottom of the bootlid (the one you press when opening the boot) and short the wires. If it unlocks doing this then the button is at fault, if...

Where are you based? In the UK I've used Faulkners for custom springs - https://dfaulknersprings.com/ There are no off the shelf options for the b14s available, and the issue you'd have is the dampers would no longer be matched if you simply changed to stiffer springs. You'd be better...

215 is fine on the 8j speedlines.

I believe the 200 Cup has the wire for the cruise control switch in the centre console, it's just under a blanking plate. So it would be worth checking if your 197 had the switch wire behind the headlight dimmer switch panel. I also believe the option exists using CLIP to configure cc on or off...
