If it changed up mid corner you weren't in manual mode, only sport auto which would be useless for track. In sport manual it will hold the gears (unless you go sub 1500 RPM, hit the limiter or the kickdown switch)

They don't change the beam across, they only move a shutter to block the light directed to the left. Resulting in lower light output and no 'flick' to the right like you would find on a LHD car. Still better than the stickers though!

Your advice was to release the throttle. If you've been doing that all day I hope you never drive anywhere near me. Feathering the throttle is a completely different concept but if you are having issues 'twitchy bum moments', as you put it, regularly you are consistently applying the power too...

That's terrible advice about releasing the accelerator, you'll just induce oversteer. If the car is already struggling for grip more load transfer isn't going to be good. Better advice is to drive within your limits on public roads.
