Get yourself a butter knife and a rag, use the rag to protect the paint and prise from the bottom. I think there's 2 clips you need to release- jakehewitt

Engine Management Light P0300
It took me 3 months to sort out the same problem on mine, had the same symptoms. Turned out it was the throttle body, switched that over back to standard and not had the problem since- jakehewitt
