Yeah that doesn't happen for some reason so maybe a sensor. I've asked the same on cliosport to see if there are any other suggestions. Not the end of the world, it'll be having a service from the dealer I bought it from in September anyway and under warranty so i'll get them to sort it then.

Just to add, with a USB in the car at all times this seems to cure the issue.
