4 new tyres fitted, check esp light came on twice!

The tyre width will make the overall diameter bigger and therefore the rear axle will be rotating at a slightly different speed than before (more so than worn tread to new tread). Might not be an issue if you change 215 all round to 225 all round because the difference will be uniform

4 new tyres fitted, check esp light came on twice!

It might have something to do with fitting bigger width tyres on the rear wheels.. the overall diameter of the wheel+tyre will be slightly bigger now and the ABS ECU might need time to re-calibrate itself and learn the new size.

What do you do when you spin (on track)

I span on track in my 200 with traction off.. I just planted my foot on the brake and all the wheels locked (I was going backwards at this point) until I stopped

    2015: Car Insurance

+1 on Greenlight. They quoted me £630ish including my mods, with that you get cheaper trackday insurance and no admin fee or premium increase for additional mods (for the particular policy I was quoted for). I ended up going with Sky Insurance who quoted £560, though no 'benefits' with that. I...

** Give your honest feedback about Clio197/200.net **

I was thinking of something similar to this yesterday. I know earlier this year/late last year we were discussing the possibilities of a Clio197 forum trackday.. it seems that might've been too expensive, so maybe we could just pick an existing open pit day in June/July and get as many people...

    Alarm questions

I would imagine all 197/200s had a factory alarm fitted, can't see why they wouldn't. I have a flashing red light in the centre bottom of the instrument cluster which I assume is telling me the alarm is armed.. My alarm gives me a beeping warning when I wash it locked with a pressure washer...

Gearbox Oil - MTL Redline or other?

Loads of recommendations for the Redline stuff on here & from Opie Oils. I personally thought that gear changes felt slightly worse when I changed to it. I then changed to the apparently "new" Renault recommended stuff (ELF Tranself NFJ 75W-80) and it felt slightly better :001_unsure: My...

How to remove interior rear plastic bits?

Hmm I may be able to pull them out but I would rather take the plastic trim off to make it easier. Especially as I'll need to re-fit them afterwards and I can imagine it will be a lot harder re-fitting with the plastics in place than taking them out

How to remove interior rear plastic bits?

Basically I want to remove the two bits of carpet each side of the boot, to do this I need to remove the plastic panels in the two pics below. I don't want to yank them the wrong way and break off any plastic clips! I have removed the two bolts and popped up the two bits on the top. I think...

Is it possible to have harnesses without removing the backseats?

Is it safe to connect them so low? I'm no expert by any means but I remember reading somewhere that the angle you attach the harness at is very important - if it's connected too low your spine could be compressed in a big impact.. Edit: Found the Schroth system, no Clio listed in the drop down...

Is it possible to have harnesses without removing the backseats?

Yep, KTEC do a harness bar with a removable cross bar so you can use the back seats. With the cross bar in place though, the back seats are not very useful. http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=4988 There may be others out there I don't know about. I really want harnesses too (not...
