Nankang NS-2R 180 Med, In the wet!

I've got these in 180 and in the dry they are epic, I rarely oversteer unless the road is a tad rough, but in my own experience I do worry slightly in the wet, unless you can keep the heat up there not very good, any standing water is always bad with any tyre but the large about of rubber in...

How hard is Clio 200 paint

I did look at microfibre pads but as they say it's a rough cut and as I'm new to this machine polishing lark I would rather start off softish so I don't need a respray, as I gain confidence and the skills required I can maybe buy more aggressive products

How hard is Clio 200 paint

So looking at cleanmycar would: starting on orange with pf2000 then white with sf4000 then apply a glaze with black would that be a good idea? Way too many pads and polishes out there it's crazy!

    Bonnet gas strut

Would need to get the bonnet weighed first then pick a strut to suit, I think 5kg needs an 150nm strut. Finding space is the big issue tbh all the other stuff is just basic engineering and maths, considering the size of the clio bonnet I'm pretty sure a strut for a kitchen cabinet might be...

How hard is Clio 200 paint

Okay cheers, I have been using the cyan pad which worked wonders on the roof but not very effective at the white paint, used the magenta and the sf4000 to finish for that high gloss shine (also never even noticed before that the black is metallic) Chris91 which chemical guys pads should I be...

How hard is Clio 200 paint

So how hard is clio paint? I've just bought a das6 polisher along with menzerna pf2200 and sf4000 on recommendation from a local detailing company (polishedbliss) also using lake county foam pads (cyan and magenta) They described the paint as intermediate and recommended these products (which...

    Side lights

I hope your sidelights aren't the same power as those! That's 5x the power that wiring has to handle! I'd be very vary about increasing the load that much, remember the wiring was only designed to handle 5w = 0.41 Amps, those 25w sidelights would be drawing over 2 amps that's a big increase...

Whining sound when Turning off engine

It's the fan, I had this same query a while back so after a drive I got home left car switched on then got someone else to switch it off whilst looking in the engine bay and as soon as the engine stops the fan winds down, I think it's because when you open the door auxilary power is killed i.e...

Need a favour guys. Car height

Just checked mine and I've got 65.5cm front and rear that's with 3/4 tank and a microfibre in the boot so could possibly have a higher rear if the tanks empty but can't imagine it being much higher, mines a full fat with cup pack :)

    Misfire/Hesitation from cold

What fuel you using? I switched to esso supreme and it's not near as bad as when I was using vpower, maybe stick some standard unleaded in for a couple of weeks let the car get used to it then switch back to super-unleaded might trick the car into running differently

    Gam's Black 197 **UPDATE #7

If your ever in the north east of Scotland I'll hold you to that haha, 3"-2.5" reducer should be perfect tbh as you've seen the Renault ones are a bit oversize typical French overcompensation

    Gam's Black 197 **UPDATE #7

It's like a triangle bracket which is pop-riveted to the diffuser I'm sure you noticed three holes near each trim I'm sure a bit of steel bent into a _/****\_ (imagine the stars are a solid line, I'm on an iphone lmao) then a hole at each end then wrap a jubilee round the bracket and the reducer...

    Gam's Black 197 **UPDATE #7

Here's a photo (hope Fernandez doesn't mind nicked it from his how to) shows exactly how the funnels are arranged to direct the heat out of the diffuser :)

    Gam's Black 197 **UPDATE #7

Ah I was thinking of using them as the collector funnels that they come with from the factory, cos a 2.5" pipe is the internal diameter so they won't go inside each other just butt against, either way some fettling should see them right :)

    Gam's Black 197 **UPDATE #7

Aye I'm sure they'll work just fixing them on is the next challenge as you won't have the brackets either :( this could be another oem+ like the flat spot fix haha Gam

    Gam's Black 197 **UPDATE #7

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121354559335 would this help with the heat issue? I know the Renault ones are ridiculously expensive and a bracket will have to be fabricated but much cheaper and should do the same job have to check size first not sure what size the tailpipes are on a clio :) looks...
