    Sprint Hillclimb 197

Finally got the car finished up and cleaned inside on boxing day. Got a snap off steering wheel hub as well "because racecar". Also got new harnesses to go with the new seat for xmas. Just need to get the car logged now!

    Sprint Hillclimb 197

I bought a small fuse box that has 6 fuses. Its cool cause each fuse has a LED. If the fuse breaks the LED comes on. I took power to it from an existing wire that gets power when the ignition is on. Then ran the heater/switch with one of the fuses from that. The existing heater wiring is...

    Sprint Hillclimb 197

Finally got the heater plumbed, wired and ducting attached. Got some pipe reducers from T7 Designs and attached them to a blanking for the original heater pipes. The duct I made to go under the dash to go from round to rectangle seems to work well too. Dash is back in now and the drivers seat...

    Spring Size for Gaz Golds

Gaz came back with: The front spring will be 65MM I.D and around 6" long. The rear springs are 1.9" I.D and 9-10" long. Thanks @burrellbloke for suggesting that email!

    Spring Size for Gaz Golds

Tried that email to see what they say. I don’t like the spring rates they specified and want rates more similar to cup racers

    Spring Size for Gaz Golds

Emailed! Will update here. I see that email comes from gazshocks.com, I tried contacting the email from gazcoilovers.com before but they just sent me a link to the springs to order and said they would send the right ones. But they are about £100 more for 4 springs than balance motorsport or...

    Sprint Hillclimb 197

Last time I weighed it, it was 1260kg with me in it and half a tank of fuel. Since then I have stripped 20kg-30kg (maybe a bit more), but added the front part of the cage. I will also be running with one seat now so will save another 10kg’s ish, and my new seat is a bit lighter. Id hope its...

    Sprint Hillclimb 197

I’ve thinned as much of the loom as I want to inside the car for now. Wrapped all of it up bar the bits in the center there, need to get final lengths of those when the dash is in. I got some tesa tape like the comment above and also some tape that isn’t sticky and clings to itself. This is...

    Sprint Hillclimb 197

Started thinning the loom at the front of the car too. Getting fed up looking at it now lol Got a new seat as I had very basic cheap uncomfortable sparco sprint seat before, but they got me up and running in the sprints for a good price at the time. Mounted to my new SW motorsport side mount...

    Sprint Hillclimb 197

Bought some of this and found a place selling rolls of what looks to be similar to the OEM cling type stuff that isn’t sticky. Got some of that too.

    Electric windows issues

This reset works, but if I disconnect the battery and reconnect would you expect me to need to do it again? I should have mentioned it is a track car with a small battery and kill switch, when its not being used I use the kill switch to disconnect the battery, then I need to do the reset...

    Electric windows issues

A while back I started having issues with the electric windows on my Clio. When I press and hold the down button, the window goes down an inch or two then stops. If I release the button and press and hold again, the same happens. This happens all the way down and all the way back up. Quite...

    Sprint Hillclimb 197

Finally got the car back from having the full cage. Started stripping the heater out. Not the easiest thing to get out, might have been easier if the dash bar was removed. Also stripped unused wires from the rear of the car. Need to wrap these back up and then start on the front. Anyone...

What after market wheels for cup racer geo/suspension

The pics of the cup racers seem to have a bolt or something there. Probably why they rub more than mine as it pops out slightly lol
