Wow, prices drop steeply in November. We have the 28th October and track hire is double that in November.

Track Day Scrutineering Yes / No.....

Exactly this. Pre race scrutineering is not a check of the car's ability to throw oil everywhere, but is limited to specific things, mainly to do with the safety equipment in the car, if it is in date and securely fixed etc. Even at that there are between 5 and 10 people doing this and those...

197/200 Daily Driver, am I an idiot?

There are many dull cars out there, the Clio is not one of them. However, if your commute is dull, then it will of course make the car feel less than what it is and then the toys, which the latest cars are loaded with, become more important, as does MPG, which you will cut in half. Also I would...

Towing. Forget about the aerodynamics, worry a out the 4 extra tyres on the road.

It was a blocked breather in the second fuel tank that ended up allowing petrol into the boot. There is a picture in the mid season review here. https://www.facebook.com/TWPRacing/

I couldn't quite summon up the right size testicles to go flat through Richies though. :track:

    Big Bens non Clio

You may not notice it on the road, but if you go near track, expect to limited with understeer on exit and certainly with rapid tyre wear or even blisterng. You are in the power range, or actually above, of TCR and Touring Cars which run 265 slicks

    Big Bens non Clio

Be aware, it is my experience that if you run that sort of power, you will struggle for tyres. You wouldn't see a RWD with close to 400 phowas running 215 or even 225 tyres. Cars running that sort of power are on 265 to 295.

    R888R Vs AR-1

You need to use the code CLIO5MOT at the checkout. If anyone wants any for Thursday, I can bring them.

    Lighter wheels and offsets

The chances of finding any Pro Race wheels is vanishingly small. All wheels will bend and break, just depends how hard you hit them and so it is not wrong to have more metal in the wheel to resist this. If you went from a 11Kg wheel to 8Kg, you would notice the difference. Between 8 and 7 you...

    R888R Vs AR-1

Medium Kumho were K60, I can't remember the soft and super soft numbers, K90 was hard. If you push a 888 hard it will go greasy after 3 to 4 laps. AR1 are very well liked but "wear so quickly" is usually the comment that follows. Direzza are obviously well regarded but a common issue on FWD...

    AD08RSs or PS4s

I would suggest calming down on the tyre selection. Across the Internet there are posts, and I will paraphrase, "I have read on the Internet that Michelin PS4 are the only tyre to fit. Fitting them will give me instant smugness, make me far more attractive to sexual partners, cure baldness and...

    MRF Tyre discount.

There is only one choice for FWD, unless doing short sprints, especially on track days, which is medium.

    MRF Tyre discount.

Just to be as clear as mud, I fixed the free delivery and so it is back to 5% and code CLIO5MOT :oops::track:

    MRF Tyre discount.

I came across a problem with the discount codes on my shop meaning I can't give 5% and free delivery. So I have upped the tyre discount to 10% but then it will charge for shipping meaning that 215 45 17 ZTR with delivery should come out at £624.80 which is about the same amount. So if you go...
