    200: Mad Friday!

Mine are pretty badly curbed, so at some point I’ll either get my current set refurbished or these ones! I’m planning to hopefully keep the Clio if I can afford to do so once I’m done with it, so it’d be nice to have a spare set just in case! Will make it easier with a refurb as well, having to...

    200: Mad Friday!

Seriously kind offer, but I’d feel bad putting you out! It’s 3 hours from mine to Swindon! I’ve looked at courier which is coming out at £50ish They’re in no rush to get rid of them, so I’ve got a little time to work the logistics of it

Thanks Beany, I’ve already bought these! Just need to figure out how to get them from Swindon haha

    200: Mad Friday!

Turns out today’s going to be an expensive one! Woke up this morning to this sight: Quick pump of the tyres and a trip round to KwikFit... £130 later I’ve got a replacement on the way (only got the fronts changed 5 weeks age!) Then after a quick browsing online I found a set of these coming...

    Upper torque arm

Definitely what I was most impressed by changing my mounts out! Silky smoooth gear changes! Haven’t had any notchy/ropey changes since!

    Number Plates

Number 1 in my opinion! Unless you’ve got some carbon touches around the car then maybe 2 would work better!

200: Easy question! Pedal pad removal/tightening

They were a bit awkward to get to but managed to just nip them up! I have the powerflex torque arm, and then the KTEC engine, gearbox, lower stabiliser mounts, so vibrations are a given! I don’t mind it, but it’s certainly highlighted a few loose rattles here and there!

200: Easy question! Pedal pad removal/tightening

Quick tighten up, and it seems to have taken the annoying buzz vibration sound out when the revs drop! Thanks Turkie!

200: Easy question! Pedal pad removal/tightening

Note it’s a powerflex torque mount, the pedal vibrates well at high revs + high speed but didn’t deem it to be a problem, just one of them gripes!

200: Easy question! Pedal pad removal/tightening

Thanks Turkie, I’ve noticed it the last few drives but hadn’t taken a proper look at the pedals! Just resting the foot on the accelerator stops the noise! It’s certainly not a stationary issue, when coming off at high revs (5k down to 4k you can notice the sound of the vibration (if the foots...

200: Easy question! Pedal pad removal/tightening

Hi all, Does anyone know what is needed to tighten the pads on the pedals on a Mk3? Seems like extra vibrations through my accelerator pedal have caused it to loosen off a bit, and could do with tightening! (makes a vibrating buzzing sound when lifting at high revs with your foot off the...

    small touches

Haha fitted mine a month ago now, and still vibrating away nicely! Can’t fault them though, mine certainly feels like it’s pulling much better (worth the compromise!) I couldn’t stand the slightest interior rattle, but now I’ve just accepted my fate haha

Friendly reminder not to drive like a cock...

No brain + ‘must get past Clio RS’ mentality = pleb. Utter idiot.

    Hybrid Megane trophy

Haha unless I can pull some spare holiday from thin air! If I went with you, I reckon I’d have to sit in bin liners, wouldn’t want to make a mess of that alcantara!

    Clio 200 Cup noise

I had exactly the same issue in the past month, exactly the same issue as you’ve described, managed to solve it at the weekend by changing the torque arm bush to a powerflex, problem gone! See thread: http://www.clio197.net/threads/torque-arm-engine-knocking.58844/

    Pedros slow moving 200

Hats off to you with that effort, seems like you’ve practically rebuilt the car! Bet if feels night and day to when you first picked it up, especially if the previous owner had given it a bit of neglect! Love the look of the painted gold alloys against the black, looks good! I can imagine...

Would you buy an RS and why

Exactly the same happened to me on an A Road! Was happily pottering around in my 1.2 Mk3 Clio, when a white 200 (numberplate ending in TOY, always saw it round town) came screaming past, and I just thought “yeah I know what car I want next!” It looked awesome, it’d just belittled my poor 1.2...

200: Torque Arm - Engine Knocking

Just to put some closure to this thread! I finally managed to get the chance to fit the Powerflex bush to the torque arm! Wasn’t too bad of a job but took some time getting the old rubber Bush out (ended up angle grinding it out!) Done approx 50 miles since fitted, and the knocking was...

Thanks Dan, I’ll be in contact should I require any work then! Worth travelling that bit extra knowing somewhere can match LY!
