how comes so many people recommend a center silencer removal as a performance mod, when all it does regarding performance is increasing the annoying flatspot?

I guess in the end it's down to what you want from a mod. For me it's analog, linear and consistent throttle response. I'd like nothing more than convert my throttle body back to cable. you are right, I did neither own a 64mm TB nor a sprintbooster and therefore my statements are theoretical...

so 64mm butterfly plus sprintbooster basically converts your throttle to a light switch... on-off-on-off :)

recently mounted a fox rear silencer and thought I'd share my impressions quality: the silencer is well crafted and comes with very solid clamps. even though it's quite huge compared to a akra or KTR system, it still manages to be smaller and a few pounds less heavy than the stock rear...

i meant to ask how did you lower the compression ratio, not the car :) but at 10.5 it seems quite stock. hope that lasts a while!
