Alien Green 200 CUP

Hi all,

I’m new to the MK3 chassis since breaking my supercharged K20 MK2.

My first car was as a MK1 Clio which is where the love for Clio’s stems from.

Here’s my old 172 CUP

And this was my MK2 supercharger K20 painted storm grey with every option from PureMotorsport, mfactory plate LSD etc

I did build a F4R on ITBs before the K20 went in.

And this is the new AG 200. I have a lot planned to bring up to standard and improve it a lot.

Some serious builds there, looking forward to seeing what you do with this one! I think once the power and weight are sorted you won't miss too much the mk2's

Big delivery from PureMotorsport

IMG_3851.jpeg

First 2 boxes and we have bucket seat mounts and drivers foot plate.

IMG_3819.jpegIMG_3839.jpeg

Got the foot plate in first

IMG_3845.jpeg

Also fitted my steering wheel. Defo need a spacer and quick release.

IMG_3838.jpeg

I’ve wiped over all the floor to clean it up from dust and shit, removed the sound deadening and given it a lick of paint quickly. Will looking into painting the inside AG I think as I hate the black.
I fitted the best Sparco seat on the passenger side and fitted my Corbeau seat from my MK2.

I’m waiting for a fair few bits I’ve order still.

Also tempted to book Mallory Park on the 22nd as it’s 20 minutes away from me.

I paid £1,250 for a full Akra system (the mid section and back box) 5 years ago. They no longer make them so they don't come up for sale very often.

The Toyo manifold is probably not worth very much.

So steering wheel was far to far away and I frantically ordered an OMP snap off boss and 60mm spacer from demon tweaks Monday to arrive yesterday, as I’d booked Mallory Park track day for today.

IMG_3966.jpegIMG_3971.jpegIMG_3968.jpegIMG_3970.jpeg

Measurements were spot on and the wheel is now perfect. Other than the door cards still not turning up it was ready to go.

As it was my first time driving a MK3 chassis (and this actual car) I wanted to test it as it was.

So spec of the car as I’ve purchased and altered the interior is.

Engine
Toyo exhaust manifold
Akraprovik titanium exhaust
RS Tuning remap
KTEC Aircon delete kit
K&N air filter and silicone hose kit
Wheeler Motorsport radiator mount

Gearbox
Fully rebuilt gearbox with new syncros, bearings and seals from AW Motorworks
Blackline LSD
Ktec billet flywheel
HEL clutch damper delete

Interior
RenaultSport Sabelt steering wheel
OMP snap off boss
OMP 60mm spacer
PureMotorsport foot plate
PureMotorsport bucket seat mounts
Corbeau Pro Series bucket seat
TRS drivers harness
Sparco Rev bucket passenger seat
Sparco passenger harness
Full CMC lightweight race dash
Race tec switch lightweight heater
Loom thinned
Mark Fish Motorsport Safety Device rear cage
Plastic lightweight windows all round

Exterior
CMC front splitter
BYC large rear wing
Bonnet gutted
Fake aero catches with no pins

Wheels
Genuine Speedline wheels in 17"
PureMotorsport wheel studs
Continental tyres

Brakes
God Speed Brembo big brake kit
Floating 2 piece J hook discs
PBS Pro Race series front pads
Ferrodo DS2500 rear pads

Suspension
Gaz Gold coilovers
Comp brake adjustable top mounts
Polybush black bush kit throughout
Rose jointed rear
Rear camber toe shims

I’m yet to confirm all of the modifications but the car was mega on track overall.

Handling wise it was great.

Brakes mega.

Seat, steering wheel and foot plate all mega.

The 200 electric column feels real good, much better than the mk2 DCi units.

Engine pickup from low down wasn’t very good at all. Maybe down to the rubbish air filter on it. Any suggestions on this?

The standard shifter tower “feel” isn’t nice. It has nylon gearknob on but the actual plastic unit bolted to the car seems to flex.
Again some suggestions here would be useful

I really don’t like the front splitter, splitter rods, JDM bumper catches or the Fake aero catches.

This race dash that’s in it is to low, so the stalks and surrounding plastics cover the coolant and fuel levels. I’ve already ordered the fix for this, just waiting on it.

Engine mounts feel sloppy and you get the Powerflex floaty and flex feel in the wishbones.

Need to dig out some parts from the PureMotorsport delivery I reckon.

Some pics I took today

I have only been to Mallory Park once, it was earlier this year. The car did two sessions before the slave died and the car was recovered all the way back to Essex.

The car spec looks really good. Are you a fan of PBS brakes? I have always run Ferodo pads in my Clio and find that DS1.11s in the front make the brakes even sharper with an instant bite and no fade.

Do you know if the car was mapped with all of the existing mods? Sometimes a remap can smooth out the power delivery to prevent the engine suffering lower down the rev range.
