My cars...
Ford Fiesta Mk4 1.25 Ghia X - First car that I learnt to drive in. Kept it standard.
Ford Fiesta Mk5 Zetec-S - Powerflow twin exit exhaust, Pipercross viper intake. Proper boy racer yo!
Honda Civic Type R EP3 - KPRO ECU, DC 4-2-1 exhaust manifold, De-cat, Piper exhaust, JDM inlet manifold, ITG Maxogen intake. Eibach pro 30mm springs, rear camber adjusters and front camber bolts + fast road alignment/setup. Powerflex engine mount inserts.
Citroen Saxo VTS - Some sort of RAM air intake (eBay special) and a Magnex exhaust
Corsa VXR Nurburgring - Pipercross cone filter, but took it off after a while
Skoda Fabia vRS - Remap
Clio 197 - Milltek resonated cat back exhaust and K&N panel filter

Safe to say after spunking a load of money on modding the Civic, as fun as it was, I can't justify doing it again lol. If the Clio hadn't already had the Milltek on it when I bought it I probably would have just kept it standard.

Er, right:

Ford Fiesta 950 popular - modified it by wrapping it around a large tree.
Escort 1.1 flame - modified this one by hitting a house.
XR3i - bucked the trend and actually managed to sell this whole !
Cavalier SRi - modded this by T-boning someone at a junction (Normal service resumed)
Orion 1.6i Ghia - whatever.
Astra GTE - Got stolen
Renault 19 16v - Got this to around 170hp. Not a bad car.
Escort 1.8 Gti - Fitted a 2 litre cam'd Mondeo lump, bodies etc etc and standalone management- ran around 190hp.
Citroen Saxo - Cammed, light flywheel, manifold, system, loads of electrickery and 100hp of NOS too. Ran 13.4 @ 105 (?) at the Pod.
Citroen C2 Loeb - Lowered, stiffened, widened, exhaust, filter - great car.
Clio - Kept it rubber side down so far

You guys have had some seriously nice cars (and bikes)! Good to hear that the Clios still get a lot of praise, even in the company of all these great motors!

What was up with the Z4? I love the look of them
It's an utterly epic engine, but the gearing means top end of 3rd is over 100mph, 4th good for about 140. 6th is geared for just over 200mph. The ride is appalling. On the fen roads around me, the 306GTi I had at the same time was faster A-B. The Z4M was fine on billiard table smooth tarmac, but elsewhere just felt crashy. I also had at the back of my mind that should anything go wrong, it was a 48k car originally and would have bills to match (the first owner lost over £1/mile just in depreciation :openmouth:). It also liked a drink - never saw above 30mpg even on a very gentle run, and very easy to get below 20.

Thanks for the feedback. Maybe I'll look at the 330bhp variant. Think it has 7speed auto

Are you looking at the newer model? They only did an 'M' variant on the E85, and it was manual only. No idea what the newer E89 is like. On the E85, the 3.0 is almost as quick (most of the M's power is right at the top end), and it's much more economical. On the downside the non-M cars have runflats which make the ride even worse, but you can swap those for non-RFs.

Bikes:

1st took to the road in December '76 on my Puch VZ50P.

In '78 upgraded to Honda CB125J.

Followed by Yamaha XS650 which I toured through Europe at 19, France, Belgium, West Germany, Austria, Italy, going behind the "iron curtain" through what was then Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Romania,Hungary & Switzerland on the way back. My 1st big adventure.

Honda CX500, again toured through to Bulgaria & back by a slightly different route.

Kawasaki Z1000J (My favourite of the bikes I've owned)

Suzuki GS550 got from a mate for a seafood pizza & a can of Heineken!

BMW K100 RS

BMW K75/S

Cars:

Mini 1000 A real go kart, always meant to get another.

MGB GT

Vauxhall Nova SR

Another MGB GT which I popped a sports exhaust on with a bomb middle box. My mate lived at the far end of his village & when I was visiting him he could hear me coming, slow down for the 30mph limit & cruising through the village so he'd always be waiting at his front gate.

VW Santana GX5 , loved this. Cheap way into an "Audi". Saloon version of Passat hatchback with 5 pot engine. Really smooth.

Then bought my 1st house so got MG Metro. Great fun & vastly under-rated in my opinion. Handled like a go kart.

Gave up cars fo a bit as I had my K75/S bike.

Tired of winter motorcycling got a Metro City. Tin box with a heater. Just what I needed. Bought 12 years old with 10k on clock (!) from an old lady who literally used it for shopping once a week & church on Sundays. Got written off when someone drove into the back of me. Her insurers gave me more than I thought it was worth & I was happy as I think it would've failed it's MOT a fortnight later as it was rusting badly. Sold to a friend of a friend for spares.

My mum had just died so I took over her Metro 1.4i (Metros seem drawn to me). This had the CVT gearbox which I loved. You could hold it high in the rev range & the car would catch up with the engine. Strange sensation until you got used to it.

Mercedes 190E. Loved it.

Mitsubishi Galant estate. Boring.

Alfa 156 1.9JTD. One of the best cars I've ever owned. Totally reliable in 7.5 years of ownership.

Current cars

Clio RS200

Mercedes E250 CGI cabriolet.

First car was a 1.1 Fiat Seicento S - put a k&n on it and lowered it on apex springs.

2nd car was my 1994 Starlet GT - td04 turbo, forged internals etc 94785227c82eab6c7081bd8500c1f79e.jpg

I then moved onto a 2007 clio dynamique 's 138 which I had a cat back system put onto.

Then bought a 1.8 tdci focus before moving onto my :-

2007 Clio 197 a27ee2fc2796fa79d53db758b28f50d9.jpg

Which I then sold and bought an MP260 Focus ST and fitted an RS clutch.fb44381f2fcaff0ccfcccd6fb7365b19.jpg

Whilst owning the focus I bought a YBR 125 then moved onto an SV650 when I got my full license - 13fe0921285c35eb87db4c10341150bc.jpg

And now I own a clio 200t c171fb0dc7eee537ea7d31ca1e3cbe36.jpg

First car was a 1998 Clio 1.2 RL Paris, had it 8 months and it broke down. My mom got worried about me and wanted me to get something newer and safer, so she helped me buy my second car.

Second car was a 2006 Clio 1.2 Campus Sport , had 9 miles on the clock when I got it. Kept it for just over 3 years.

Third car, Clio 197. Loved it, wife didn't like driving it on cold start map so changed it

Fourth was a Mazda 3 MPS. Loved it, so quick and well equipped. Then bought a house, so car went.

Fifth, Peugeot 307 1.6 hdi . That's all I'll say.

Sixth, Mazda 6 2.2 D estate. Still got it, great car but big and not very exciting.

Seventh , Clio 182. Such good fun, but I spent £1k on repairs and maintenance in 5months and more needed doing. I got fed up of spending on it so got rid.

Eighth, Clio 200t, which I've had for a month. Love it.
