Raider - worth the extra price tag?

I'm tempted by a grey 200 Radier that Ktec are selling. It looks fantastic, but the £13500 price tag seems a little high. I've since seen on here that it's been in an accident (I've messaged the previous owner).

I really like the idea of having a car that stands out, and has desirability, but unsure if it justifies the close to 3k premium on a top spec 200. Any thoughts would be great.

They do look outstanding, but like you say, 3K is a rather sizable premium...

Surely at £13500 that sort of price range is prime territory for a really tidy Meg 250/Cup?

I like Meganes, but the car is driven by my Wife the majority of the time, and she's not comfortable in one. I just can't see what they really offer over a good 200 Cup. But she hates the Recaros fitted to those. No pleasing her!

No in terms of spec, but they are special and rare, so it's up to you if you think it's worth it. I was considering one before I change my 197 but opted for the edc in the end.

nice, rare but way to expensive for what they offer..
if she doesnt like the recaros then get an rs 197 or 200..or as above a 200t..might be happy having an automatic gearbox..

I was actually stood next to this car yesterday while I was getting some bits sorted on mine. Very tidy looking. They have a red version as well.

We looked at a new 220, but I just don't like the thought of pumping £280 a month into a car I've still got to pay 8k to own in 4 years.

She hates the standard Recaros fitted to 197/200's, neither the leather quilted ones. Seems like the Raider ticks all the right boxes. Although I think she's being fussy, she has to live with it everyday.

Ktec were great when I mentioned the damage, I've got to forward them images and they'll check the repaired areas for quality of work. They've assured me it drives perfectly, and couldn't tell it had been crashed.

It does seem dear for a 200, albeit a limited edition one. Rarer cars can be worth a premium, but it really depends how much you want a car that has that exclusivity. The Raiders are great looking cars without a doubt though...

Would it be that unethical to find out from the owner how much it was traded in for/a couple of little niggles or faults it might have? Start negotiating the price down then, once you've got a good idea how much they have in it :innocent:

In the UK only 28 Raiders were registered. 11 Red and 17 Grey. Two have been written off. So only 26 left. That makes them very exclusive. They do look fantastic too!

I'm speaking to the previous owner today regarding the car. My 197 that I'm part exchanging doesn't owe me anything, and they've offered me 3k for it which I'm happy with.

If there's been paintwork repaired then you'll know as matte is very hard get right. Some paint specialists won't even touch it. Mine had been done three times after it was keyed. They just couldn't get it right. In the end I had to let it go as I just couldn't live with it like it was. Such a shame as the car was sound mechanically.

you dont have to get a new one, get a used 200t

My 2012 grey raider with 16000m on the clock is about to be pt ex against a 220 next month(if it arrives on time),and they allowed me £10500 on it.So even if you allow a £2000 mark up that does seem quite steep.

Sure you don't want a storm grey with a Megane engine? Be more exclusive than a raider [emoji106]....and cheaper lol
