I believe there's a valve behind it so you can do it whilst it's pressurised, you'd lose a tiny bit of gas, that being said it's been a while so don't quote me on it lol.
As Liam mentioned above, SX027 works (but needs the teeth filing down slightly to fit)
Welding a nut on is quite popular, as is using stilsons
Better tools than the SX027 are available but are about £100ish every time I've seen them.
I missed the latter detail about negative increasing speed, that does sound like more of a squib issue! My original advice of checking in CLIP stands though
I actually designed and made my own sidemounts to mount directly to the OEM sliders to solve this issue. they also cater for the offset needed to be centred against the steering wheel.
Reading more about your issue, how long have you been running the oil? Is this the first hot trackday you've done?
The oil pressure sensor is designed to go off around 0.6 bar, I think the "idle" oil pressure spec for the car is 1 bar when the car is hot.
It's technically possible (though I...
It's worth plugging your car into CLIP and looking at the live data, I had some electrical gremlins recently and this specific issue appeared after resolving the others.
It turned out in my case the brake pedal switch was not "set" quite properly after removal/refitting, meaning that the...
Ironically, I had an oil pressure fault problem at Bedford last Monday. I unplugged my oil pressure sensor and the connector was full of oil and the rest of the sensor quite rotten, given our cars are both 06, it's amusing timing.
I checked the wiring and replaced the sensor and it's not...
Both are high quality oils (based on the *internet*) so I can't imagine you will have any issues. For what it's worth Hartech (very reputable Porsche place) recommend a Millers Nanodrive oil for my Porsche 996 and have supposedly done a fair chunk of comparison / analysis with it, their...
@RSRowe previously has recommended the Mintex F2R pad, I had a try of it this time around and actually was really impressed with it, and reasonably priced too. I've previously tried Performance Friction 08 (very good but expensive) and DS1.11 (also very good but I prefer the F2R)
