    Cheers, I have a multi meter ill check Saturday when I go back up to where iv left the car - haven't had any problems before this, the mot only required a new bulb and a track rod arm that's it! would a dead battery cause the check ESP / check brake light on though?

    Ah brilliant thanks! is there any way of checking the alternator before rushing off to get a new battery? It had a mot 4 weeks ago, went through fine!

    Thanks for the reply, I checked the output of the battery and it was 12.3 from memory? and the AA guy hooked up the jump pack up and still nothing. The immobile light is on also? We did a hard reset by disconnecting the battery left off and re attached but still unable to see any codes...
