    I'd have taken the asking price too, but can't not haggle ;) they also didn't give a lot for the clio so it evened itself out really. I looked on pistonheads and autotrader every day for the last 2/3 months and this came up on Saturday, rung up Sunday and bought Monday morning

    Did you call on Monday? I got there at 10.30am and he said someone was on the phone and it was up to me. I still haggled and got it for £15,750 but it's a lot of car for the money!

    Well my 56 plate Albi Blue 197 is going on Saturday :( I have had it nearly 2 and a half years, but fancied a change. I didn't want to lose too much of the handling side of things, and wanted a turbo, so a Megane made perfect sense. This is the replacement, I am very excited :D...

    Sprint booster trouble..

    Always tended to do mine at traffic lights if changing settings. Think my problem was down to a loose bolt on the throttle when I put the sprintbooster on originally as I've had no problems since with it both completely off the car, or now I've put it back on but tightened the bolts better :)

    Cars been fine ever since with the Sprintbooster off. I've put it back on again and had no problems, so think it may potentially have been that one of the bolts weren't done up tightly enough and caused this problem

    Cheers guys, I may take it off tomorrow and just see if it does it again. If it does ill see what fault code is being logged, but having had the car for 2 and a half years nearly and it not done it before the sprintbooster, I'm sure it's something to do with that

    Yeh I got one of the very last ones, so will be fitting that at the weekend too! :) I'm hoping it will make me want to keep the clio more; I've always disliked the low down response/torque of the Clio, so my next car will either be an R26 (90% sure) or a Leon Cupra K1.     Haha I very nearly put an ad on here to sell them, and saw you were in the market for some, but decided while I'm doing new rear discs this weekend that I will fit them. You never know, these along with the sprintbooster I ordered may make me want to keep the 197 for longer ;)

    I asked them to keep the flywheel so I could have that done potentially still and try and sell it on. I just didn't have the time to sort it out as they needed a decision quickly; I'm in America this week. But at least I get £500 from the AA I suppose

    The parts themselves aren't to bad, £500 of it is labour because the gearbox has to come out etc :(

    As a final update, this was the problem... "We have removed your gearbox to find that one of the tensioner springs on the pressure plate has broken. This means that a new clutch kit is needed, but we have noticed that the flywheel has been getting very hot, and there are high spots on it!"...
