Not much has happened since April. The car is going to be having Pilot Sport 4 tires fitted next week and its MOT. I am thinking of getting a GT86 or something else rear wheel drive.

Yeah, I run all TDs with traction turned off. Stops the car eating brake pads! The evening sessions can be quite busy. What I tend to do is wait in the paddock for the first 15 minutes and then go out when all the other drivers come in to cool down.

A small update on the car! Last night I took part in an evening track day at Brands Hatch. This is the first time I've had the car on circuit with the DS2500 pads (front) and HEL performance braided lines (both front and rear) despite having them fitted in September. I am using standard Brembo...

Apologies if what I said sounded defensive, it wasn’t mean to come across like that! :)

I have done windscreens through insurance before and received poor workmanship in the past, including a windscreen not installed straight, although its not visible under the seals. I didn’t want to mess around with that this time and found Paul who is highly, and repeatedly recommended.

Just had a new official Renault windscreen fitted from https://www.glasstecauto.co.uk/. Mine was original, was showing its age and had some small chips, one of which comes up on the MOT as a minor defect. I paid £575 for the windscreen and installation inclusive and Paul has done fantastic...

I was also considering a meme number plate, I found CL10 JPG (clio.jpg)! Would give the photographer a laugh next time I am on track!

Another consideration is the camshaft kit and remap from K-Tec. More information on that can be found here https://www.k-tecracing.com/show_workshop_product.asp?id=5576&appid=3

    New LY clio 200

Hi, Congratulations on picking up a LY. Some thoughts as a LY owner who has done some brake upgrades and fitted coilovers: 1. I would not increase the size of the brakes to start with. I’m also unsure if this is referring to just increasing the disk size (312mm to 330mm) or also going for...

I was looking at some personalised number plates and wanted to get some feedback on a couple: CL10 LYW (Liquid Yellow) CL10 LYE (Liquid Yellow) CL10 YLW (Yellow)

The car has just received its annual service. I had the front subframe crossmember replaced and some wires under the front passenger seat soldered as these had come loose and were causing an airbag warning light to come on. I am going to start looking at LSDs now and I think its either going to...

Not a lot has happened with the car due to Coronavirus and the subsequent restrictions that have been imposed. The car has a couple of small issues that are going to be looked at by my local Renault specialist: 1. Front subframe crossmember (radiator support) is quite rusted and while not...

Hi! I haven't had the car on a rolling road so I'm afraid I couldn't tell you, however I haven't noticed any difference in torque or power across the rev range. The car hasn't been remapped. I think if I was going to getting the car mapped I would also go for the camshaft upgrade at K-Tec. It...
