Do you mean the block is the same? the bottom end includes pistons and rods and these are certainly not the same in the 197, as the r26

215 is a little bit of stretch your right, but ive run 195 40 on an 8j before with no problems.

215 45 will fit 8j

cheers i understand that bit, but ive seen people say that you need a high offset i.e et45 or above to clear the brakes. and as far as i can work out offset has nothing to do with the gap between the back of the spoke and the wheel mounting face, so a wheel with an offset of et0 is just as...

so surely a lower offset meaning the wheel sits further out from the hub would increase the chance of it clearing the brakes?

TTS performance not motorsport, sorry. Not on the lower stage conversions, getting upto around 350bhp stuff they advise you do.

Having seen what tts motorsport do with rotrex charged civic type r's which are also a high compession engine and how reliable they are, i dont see why there would be a problem with it.

sorry to hijack your thread dude, but i see alot of people say that you need to run high offsets to clear the brakes but i just cant see how that is the case. offset is the distance of the mounting face of the wheel from the centre line and surely its the distance from the back of the spoke...
