    yea, I only went up there to get the bolster repaired but didn't bother when he said he'd re trim for £300. Ill put pics up when I've got them back and put you in touch if they look good.

    I've managed to get them out, broke a screwdriver in the process but got there in the end, played it safe and disconnected the battery. Paying £300 to have them done at Watkins conversions in Neath. The guy's been upholstering VW T4, T5's for years and pics of previous work looks pretty good so...

    The battery has now been replaced but no faults are being recognised when plugged into diagnostics. The garage has suggested that there could be a problem with the immobiliser caused by the battery being run completely flat. Looking like it may have to go to main dealer :thumb1:

    Hope so, the RAC mechanic said that it sounded like it was out of fuel (was plenty in tank) so just thought this indicated a fuel problem. Alternator sounds a lot better than anything fuel system related!!!

    Yeaa, what problems could the overdue cambelt cause? My first thought was the fuel pump, any idea on the cost of this? All comments very much appreciated guys
