Can anyone identify the plaque number of R27 KF07 UUS?

Hi all,

I’ve recently purchased an Albi Blue Clio Renaultsport 197 F1 Team R27 (KF07 UUS) and I’m trying to find out which numbered car it is from the UK run of 500.

Unfortunately the numbered plaque is no longer present, and after contacting Renault I’ve been told they no longer hold this information.

I’ve been pointed towards the R27 Register in the hope that somebody may recognise the car or have access to older records that could help identify its original plaque number.

The car is:

  • Albi Blue R27
  • Registration: KF07 UUS
  • 2007 car
  • VIN available via PM if required

If anyone has any information, previous ownership knowledge, old register data or can point me in the right direction, I’d really appreciate it.

Many thanks,
Jay

I would get a full car check done which should list all previous number plates for the car the forum has 39 Albi blue on the main list with posts from people saying what they have and seen on the following pages. Albi blue there was 63 listed as sold in UK yours does not have a rear spoiler so unlikely a picture of one with a spoiler is yours start finding pictures of r27's, piston heads might be able to help if you contact their support email with the registration plates it may have had they can check the internal archive. I'll start you off it's not number 431 I know where it is and it's not 452 although anyone with 452 get in touch with me.

Thanks for the information, that’s really helpful.

I’ve since run a full HPI check and discovered the car was recorded as a Cat D insurance loss on 18/05/2015.

What caught my attention is that while going through the old R27 register, I noticed No. 26 (Albi Blue) was listed as being broken on Facebook in July 2015, only two months after the insurance company decided not to repair my car.

From what I’ve since found out, the car was heavily stripped. It was missing parts all over the place, including the original Recaros and plaque, and was apparently destined to be broken for spares. The person my dad bought it from sourced everything that had been removed and sold, rebuilt the car and got it back on the road.

Considering how much had been stripped from it, this F1 Team car probably shouldn’t still be here, which is why I’m so interested in piecing together its history and finding out which numbered R27 it originally was.

Any further information would be greatly appreciated.
