Airbag ECU removal

Stripping the car for more track focused set up. What the deal with removing the airbag ECU. Will airbag light go out or can it be coded out once ECU is removed?

I've had it done it on mine with Clip and was told to leave the ECU In place, everything else is disconnected from the airbag ECU though.

Had the car getting a timing belt chnage done, had the airbags coded out with CLIP but the loom coming out the ECU to the airbags was connected at the time. Was stripping the looms tonight and now when I disconnect the loom comming out the ECU the light comes back on although the loom isnt connected to anything. Weird, may need coded again?

I couldn't tell you.

Although I have coded out the air bags I have removed from my Clio (I still have the curtain airbags in the rear as my car still has an interior) I have not disconnected the airbag ECU from the loom at any time.
