Ollie's GW 200 Project

lovely pics..so you had a good time in Germany..glad to hear..car didnt miss a beat??

Just came back from 5 days at the Ring! This year was a lot better than last year as obviously I got to know the track a tad more. Managed a fairy decent lap which I was pleased with, still a lot of room for improvement though!

A quick stop in Belgium for a fill up

Going to be selling the x6 Superleggera’s as I want a similar daily setup as my track Speedlines!

I kept missing you guys, or you were heading for a lap

It was an amazing weekend, the weather couldn't of been any better

Would of been good to meet mate!

That airduct is pretty cool, also fitted directly to your airbox?

Cheers! Was going to go through fog light duct but ended up using that for the brakes. So though I'd get the dremmel out! It feeds just short of the v6 box. Will get some snaps later!

After having a long think about the Sabelt wheel and my clammy hands, I decided to take it out as I wasn’t happy with the suede and how much my hands sweat. So what I do next wheel wise I don’t know, retrim with part top suede?

Then came the front section of the R020! Due in the end of May so rang up Mark and the order went in! Very pleased with it. Thinking of going back to black interior trims now.

So having put the front tow strap in, I had to put a rear one in too match it all up. Whilst the diffuser was off, I gave the rings a good spruce up!

Generally if you’ve got a suede steering wheel you should wear driving gloves or the sweat and oils from your skin will wear the suede out. Suede is pretty tough though and can usually be cleaned and brushed back like new.

The thread has gone a tad quiet since the last due to not having much to update.

Since the last post, me & the mrs’ have purchased our first place which most importantly has a garage, so the sensible interior idea has gone out the window. Full interior has been stripped (apart from the dash), roof scoop bought & painted, CM Comp foot rests, and PBS front & rear pads. Obviously the car is the last priority at the moment, but nice to have the garage as it can sit there in the state it’s currently in!

Quite a bit to get on with interior wise over the winter!

This car is spot on mate and the direction I'm looking to take mine in! :thumb:

Thanks lads! The car has had a change in direction multiple times, but has now settled to become a track abuser!

Did you install the SD cage yourself? If so was it a simple job.

Yes installed myself with a mate. A ramp would be highly recommended for drilling/attaching lower mounts as its backing on to the fuel tank.

Wow.. great transformation, but with the house.. its all down hill from here on end, everything else becomes more important.

It has done 3/4 miles since we moved in?! Haven't even fitted the roof scoop yet. You are correct sir!
