Big Bens non Clio

New MOT today. Always a nice feeling

Swapped front ds1.11 pads out for some crappy ones just for over winter
And had an oil and filter change.

Might go quiet for a little while until Xmas is out the way then back on the upgrades in time for spring and more trackdays.

Surprised at the brake pad swap..

Don’t go hooning and forget you’ve got shitty ones on
I wanted to see how much life was on the track pads and also how good these pfz pads are.
Not much chance of hooning mate got 50miles left on limited mileage policy until it renews in January:grinning:

They’re good mate.... bed them in properly as the guide says and then you’ll be fine... whats in mine and granted I’ve got about 100bhp less

Bloody impressive progress considering you'd never been on a forum before!
Mine was standard for nearly 5 years until I joined here LOL

Little did I know where it would all lead when I signed up mate!!!
Having fun though for the majority of time. That’s what it’s all about:thumb:

Great news on the MOT Ben, always a pleasurable time when the pass comes through!

I think it's fair to say you are definitely one of the victims of the forum policy of 'spending other people's money for them':smile: but all for the good mate, you have a superb car there!

Update:

Never really liked my Rainsport 3’s that I bought for wet trackdays so sold them on today.

Had Michelin PS4’s fitted yesterday for the bargain price of £344 from a cyber Monday deal on black circles. Look forward to driving them in anger to see what the fuss is about.

My new Autec Wizards are still in their boxes waiting for me to decide on what semi slicks to put on them. May well be into the new year now...

Donington update:

Cars been cleaned. Fluids topped up. Car loaded up with wheels and tools etc.
Put my wets on for the first time since I bought them. Forecast for the drive up Sunday night is miserable but looking dryish Monday so fingers crossed I can get the AD08R’s back on.

Quite like the dark anthracite. They’ll definitely be staying on over winter.

TFL

You do know the clio boot is designed to fit 4 wheels standing up perfectly??!
