First proper clean of the 200

harey

Winner - POTM November 2018
So, having had the car only a couple of weeks I thought I should start as I mean to carry on.

After a good wash and clay bar session I used a DA to apply a polish and glaze.

This is my 1st white car and i'm chuffed with the results but it's going to be a nightmare to keep clean and it's so hard to get a reflection....

Looks good, mines going to my mate who’s a polishing geek tonight for a few days, gonna get the clay, buffer and various treats on it and I’ll donate him 60 quid, he just loves polishing cars for some bizarre reason, I’d rather do an extra few hrs at work and pay him :sunglasses:

I normally like doing it like it’s almost therapeutic. But not really seeing your results on a white car (with the reflections) takes it away a little. I do most people’s cars at work for around £60 if I’ve got nothing on.

Silver is also notoriously hard to clean compared to darker colours, my old 406 coupe looked mint when it was shiny, some p21s and it looked like it had a shimmer! Loved that car and it went well too being a 210bhp V6 (same engine as the Clio V6 albeit not tweaked as much)
